Henderson is in panic mode. Superintendent, assistant superintendent, and it seems like most of the board members have absolutely no clue what in the hell they are doing as well as most of the other top admin. Big ship show in Henderson and the laughing stock of Texas High school football right now in my opinion. Have always thought Henderson had some of the best athletes in east Texas. Always used to give Gilmer good games

I remember the days when Henderson could P.L.A.Y!!!!!! To see them like this gets you down lol. I don't care what kind of business you are talking about you got to have great leadership. Even with great leadership you are gonna face tough times. But if you don't have that great leadership you ain't gonna come out of it. And that's where I think Henderson is at. I hope I'm wrong and they are executing some great plan, but it don't look like it.

If you cant trust the manager's decision you need a new manager. There is no reason to have a manager that is not capable of making the most basic decisions of hiring his people. Managers must have the ability to run the operation and then be held accountable for results.

Like I said..... John King has been a thorn in everyone's side in East Texas. No one has a winning record against him that I can recall. But I'm pretty confident that no single team has given him more wins than my Mavericks. He's 18-1 against Marshall. Just mind boggling. There have been some weak Mav teams in those years....but there have also been some pretty dang good Mav teams in that span too. 2004- State Finalist- Lobos beat Marshall 40-15 2005- State finalist- Lobos beat Marshall 28-16 2007- Region Semi-finalist Lobos beat Marshall 41-7 2009- Region Semi-finalist Lobos beat Marshall 47-30 2015- Region Semi-finalist Marshall beat Lobos 28-25 2018- Region Semi-finalist Lobos beat Marshall 60-14 In the 19 seasons King has beat Marshall, 15 of those Mav teams made the playoffs. Obviously the Mavs are nowhere near the level of Longview...and haven't been for the last 20 years. But fact is.... Longview has not only beaten....but dominated a Marshall program that hasn't exactly been lousy. That's a testament to the program JK has built. You take away Longview and Texas High and Marshall would have 5-6 more district titles in to go with the 6 they already claimed since 2004. That's why I have such tremendous respect for both programs. Goals. Goals. Goals.

it is a tough district but after watching some film on them, theres no reason they were that bad. Offensively their line is big but its like they have no idea of the little things, their pass schemes seem to be 3 route combos, qb was rough but he may be young and doesnt know what to look at, but they did seem to have some athletes. Defensively......lets not even talk about that because I would rather not throw up my dinner.

Which top teams were mentioned? I saw Lufkin and JT. They haven't been near the top in the last few years. Nobody is coming for Longview. We all know the larger schools have the advantage of more kids to pull from and a deeper bench to rotate during the game. That's the reason there's not just one classification in football. Lining up and playing the teams in your division, Carthage has done a pretty darn good job. Don't really need to do anything else. Last I checked the goal was to win the 4AD2 state championship, not beat Marshall, JT, Lufkin, Texas High, or any other school from a larger classification.
