Before people start hammering the Beckville staff for running it up, most of their starters barely played at all in the second half. The last 3 TDs were by 2s and 3s, and a JV RB ran out of bounds to keep from scoring the TD that would have made it 98-12 with a PAT pending. From the sound of things, they did all they could do to keep things in hand.3 points

Canadian dismantled 4aD1 Randall last night 69-28. 300 yards of offense in first quarter, 530 yards in first half, with halftime lead of 59-0. 2nd/3rd string in for entire second half. Hoping we can stay healthy and make a run.2 points

To my understanding the TP was donated by RRAD courtesy of "Kool" and given to the NB cheerleaders with intentions of getting Lions fired up. We however do appreciate the pretty decorations.1 point

Game went to OT last year. Cushing lost a good bit from last year's team and Overton returns almost entire team. Cushing's best two-way lineman has been out since the 1st series of game two. Hopefully back this week. Could easily be 5-0.1 point

Scrimmage? We talking about scrimmage in my Allen Iverson voice1 point

It won’t change much this time. I have daughters in 6th and 7th grade and those classes combined are at 300. The elementary is at capacity as well.1 point

Scrimmages are glorified practices with another team. Evaluation and reps .1 point

From what I understand listening to the news this morning, several channels, the House has passed bills to keep the DOD running and VA running, meaning the Senate has to pass those bills to keep those departments paid. But it's a Washington thing, keep a crisis in the news to take away from the terrible things going on in the economy.1 point

That's all inflamed nonsense that isn't happening in Texas schools or in most states, for that matter. Most schools that I know that have any kind of policy for transgender bathrooms give them gender neutral and private options. And educators aren't 'brainwashing' anyone to be gay or identify as transgender. They are showing up to school that way. 'Drag shows' aren't happening at school, ya scaredy cat maniac.1 point

When I saw the score was 2-1 going into the 9th inning I knew what was going to happen. I didn’t even bother staying up to see if Texas won.1 point

I saw "Viva Knievel !" (1977) at the drive in in Nacogdoches when my brother was attending SFA and lived at the Star Apartments. Longview had the Twin Pines and River Road Drive In. The remains of the Cherokee Drive In was still standing in the 70's until it was torn down. I loved the Indian on the front of it : Cherokee Drive-In in Longview, TX - Cinema Treasures .1 point

I call always expect negativity or a comeback on this era of Smoaky. UG is 4-1 not a bad start, Overton is 5-0 a good start. Cushing is 3-2 Fair start with 2 losses by (6) & (1) points total 7pts in two losses. I prefer to always see the positives1 point

On a note of RBs. Dwight Smith from Carthage in the 08 era is probably the best all around RB I ever saw. And yes, I saw Adrian Peterson in high school. Dwight never made it big but he was incredible in high school.1 point

That funny how that is STILL talked about to this day, almost 30 years later. Not trying to be obnoxious or anything like that, but it was one of the players that brought it out to the field. Rumor is that on the way to the field, I almost got jumped by several Cooper players while carrying it, but can’t confirm nor deny it. The Paris News came up with “ The Broom and Toon”. Good times, but yeah, probably one of the top 10 rivalries in the state.1 point

Maybe if the Groomers weren't so adamant about telling people that they were coming for kids it wouldn't be a big deal. As I've said before, kids in school don't care one bit about their teachers personal lives. Sure they might ask how was your weekend, but like anyone else they don't care about a long story about who they were with. So they went to the lake, great sounds like fun. It's water cooler talk. Nobody wants TMI. Instead the groomers want to talk about their partners, and maybe you would like a partner like mine. Just let kids be kids. Do you want to hear countless stories from all 30 students of yours every Monday morning or every day ?1 point

Pawpaw? This isn’t 16 and pregnant. Y’all might be used to having thirty year old grandparents in Jeffy, but that isn’t a problem here.1 point
