Yeah the good thing for Stephenville is they can kinda play whatever style they need to this year. If it’s a shootout, they can do it. If it’s a defensive struggle, they can do that too. But if Carter’s in a one-possession game late, watch out. They definitely have a couple guys that can house it on any snap.

There will probably be a chance to win the district every season with the drop to 3A. I don't think anyone is thinking that it makes the Leopards state contenders.... but there won't be 4th place finishes resulting in 1st round matchups with teams like Carthage

The biggest improvements I've seen this season is the Olinemen and Dline play. The sophomore stepping in at the interior dline has helped. Qb play is better with another year. These kids are more focused this year. These are the things that I've noticed this season that has added

That's a 20% increase. Does this mean our property taxes go up 20%? I don't know enough about the system to have an answer to that, but the money has to come from somewhere and my taxes are already too high.

Our kids were unmotivated last week, went into half time thinking Edgewood was tapped out. I assure you.. they are running on all cylinders this week. You talk to them about the game and they have that look in their eyes. We will be fully focused and ready. I think this game is a one score, back and forth, game until the 4th. Then we run away with it.

I agree depends on which van team shows up. If it’s the one that played against Bullard then Gilmer wins big. If it’s the well disciplined van team I think it will be a good game

I thought Davis did a really nice job stabilizing the program...the drop in class I think will benefit them and put the new guy in a chance to succeed right away

This team has not played up to their potential yet that I have seen, except maybe the Center game, especially on the defensive side, not really sure what they have on offense because it truly has been so vanilla, however I do believe that the speed they have is deceptive, seems to me top to bottom they have more speed then normal. I think Friday night it is quite possible that you will see a different team then any video that you have seen, but I have been wrong in the past and could be again. I know that the potential for so much more in there, just not sure when or if we will see them put it all together. You see signs in every game, periods that they do look unbeatable and then period where they seem to not have a clue. We will see if this is the game where we see their true potential and if we do then I do not see Hooks even getting close.

Years that Carthage are smaller in the defensive line, the two teams mentioned above could sometimes move the ball……last year, this year, and next year too much athletic beef in Carthage’s d-line.

They got 2nd in their district……So unless you go back 40 years where only district champs make the playoffs, V A is a legitimate playoff team.

CH def wants Lindale in round 3! No doubt about it. I think the result will be different. Hard to beat a good team twice. But either way, would much rather see a district opponent advance if CH don’t. Either way, Neither teams get past Kilgore this season.

I'll push back a little bit on this. Max Johnson isn't your typical backup QB. He was a starter in the SEC before transferring to A&M. He has a lot of experience, and I would probably say the most experience any backup QB has in college football. Losing those games was not because you had a backup QB. He was more than capable of giving you those wins. A&M lost those games because they have an awful Oline who cannot pass protect to save their lives, which is the reason why you've had to play your backup QB and now 3rd string lol. So I get your take, but I don't think playing the backup QB was the reason you're not winning those close games.

It’s a different Beckville that will be playing this time around. It was a whole different squad with #2 at QB. Garrison still wins though.
