I find it so Ironic. That in 2003 if Garrison Bulldogs don’t exist — Timpson likely wins the state championship that year. And now, 20 years later, if Timpson Bears did not exist, Garrison likely wins the state championship. Two great programs, 7 miles apart.

My son and I were talking about the outstanding performance of Bussey last night, especially his ability to find the open receiver and throw darts to them. Several times he had to change his arm angle and throw at odd angles but he still put the ball right on target. I think like many others watching were shocked at how great of a qb he is. Everybody knows he is a great runner, that was obvious, but those passes and his ability to check down to second and third targets are qualities very few high school quarterbacks possess. It's a shame he probably won't get to play qb at the next level. At a major D-1 like A&M he will most likely be a free safety/sometimes running back/receiver. I'm just thankful I got to watch one of the best all around athletes perform on such a big stage and get rewarded for all the hard work he has put in. Congratulations to #10 and all of the Timpson Bears along with their coaching staff and community!! Enjoy the moment!!!

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR COACH STEWART. Visitation and funeral will be held at Riley’s Funeral Home in Woodville, TX. Visitation is Sunday, December 17th. from 1:00-4:00. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 18th. Interment will take place immediately after the services at Egypt Cemetery in Colmesneil. Sorry, I can't resist. So far we've had Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh My! Congratulations to Timpson and Malakoff on their first championships. And to Franklin for an excellent season and run.

Great season and four year run Franklin. I know it stings today but no reason to hang your head. You guys will be back next year.

Im certainly late to the party as an outsider who hasnt seen much of Timpson at all, but i was super impressed with 10s ability to throw. I know his legs get alot of attention but his arm showed out last night.

They need to fix the transfer portal window so this doesn't have to happen. The portal should not open until after the National Championship game.

Ganado would have finished 3rd and Tolar 4th in our district ....

Tolar just had not seen anyone like Timpson all year and it inflated their egos. They really thought they were just going to blast Timpson. Timpson on the other hand has been in a ton of wars versus quality opponents. Daingerfield, Garrison (twice), Ganado, I’d even say Beckville gives this Tolar team problems. And that’s just THIS YEAR. What about all the wars Timpson was in LAST YEAR? The Refugio game? Tolar really ran into that real deal tonight.

I have tolar winning this game. They are faster then what film shows and they are a physical football team.

This will be Gilmer's 9th trip to the championship game. Looking at the stats that Bellville's put up, it looks a little daunting. I'm not really sure what to expect. I feel like our coaches will have us ready. We will need to establish an offensive rhythm early, and get a few stops for sure. Just for good measure, I'm bringing some more of the tinkers dang hex with me. Go Buckeyes!

So, why male models?

During Yoe's state title spree, seemed like every season our playoff runs ran through Teague, Grandview, and Malakoff. Our playoff game against the Tigers in '15 is a freakin' epic. Grandview made it to Arlington soon after and Jentsch led them to back-to-back titles. Now Malakoff finally has punched their ticket to Jerryworld. Best of luck next Thursday, Tigers. Coach Fannin has truly turned the Franklin Lions into a machine. Dominating ground game-focused team that had one player score three receiving TDs tonight. And a stifling defense. But you guys proved definitively that you're the team to get the job done this year, if it's to get done. Thursday at 3p there is going to be one heck of a football game at AT&T Stadium, one of the best that field is going to see all year.
