If you wrote 5 lines of trolling nice job. If you actually believe black uniforms are a solid reason to be on your 4th head coach in 5 years, you're part of the reason this is a bad job.3 points

So if LK hires a coach that owns a bunch of blue polos then y'all will be as good as Carthage? Is that how that works?3 points

Hard work, discipline, mental and physical toughness, selflessness and doing the little things right are more important than any offense or defense you run. Whoever does those things whatever they choose to run will work.3 points

I love how @BarryLaverty put a crying emoji, but seems to have zero problem with what Sunny Hostin said. And no offense Barry, but I think I could be FAR more impartial on that jury than you could.2 points

Its not uniform related, but one year we started playing pregame music that excited the players and a group of older fans complained that they did not like the music. They said the music should be for the fans not the players. I told one group that if they were playing we might consider it. Did not go over very well.2 points

Shelbyville came back from 3 runs down last night to beat Garrison 4-3. Shelbyville remains undefeated in district while handing Garrison their first district loss. Garrison was up 3-1 late, but Shelbyville was able to score 3 runs in bottom of the 7th. The winning run scored on a squeeze play. What a game. They will play again Friday in Garrison. I'd encourage anyone that wants to watch some really good baseball to come out.2 points

I have a moral objection to gambling...which makes me a hypocrite because I did make a trip to the casino in Durant, Ok...mostly because I wanted to eat at a Guy Fieri restaurant (fyi...the Mac and cheese burger is awesome). I let temptation get the better of me and decided to play a $0.05 slot machine. Third or fourth spin I won $18. I cashed out (Im a real high roller lol)...got me a Diet Coke...and sat there people watching until my wife was finished.2 points

Genesis 12:3: I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who dishonor you. In you, all the families of the earth are blessed. The Bible says as the nations wage war against Israel Jesus will come and destroy His enemies with the breath of His mouth. 2 Thess 2:8 We are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. It's not political, it's biblical.2 points

Longview has 4 consecutive weeks of HUGE matchups this fall. Week 3 - vs South Oak Cliff (the big one that everyone is talking about) Week 4 - vs Ruston, LA (this game, not enough people are talking about it. Ruston won the Louisiana 5A state championship last year and was in the state title game a year before. HC Jerrod Baugh use to be OC under King at Longview). Week 6 - vs Rockwall (11-2 last year) Week 7- @ Forney (13-2 last year) That's a tough 4 game stretch. Thank goodness for the BYE in Week 5. A tricky Week 1 game down in Lufkin, so should be a fun schedule.2 points

Crazy, right? It's almost as if, the gun didn't have a problem. For years, many people have owned guns whose guns also never harmed anyone. Matter of fact, there was a time when many people openly carried their guns, including in their trucks, and yet, we didn't see all the shootings we do today. I wonder why that is? The fact of the matter is, the US is much higher in other things compared to other nations as well. - illegals crossing the boarder. - single parent households - one of the highest poverty rates We also argue that we have a problem with mental illness, while ignoring all the true mental illness. We don't seem to teach our kids about consequences anymore. For that matter, we don't seem to enforce consequences to adults either. This is why crime is way out of control. We make up every excuse we can when someone commits a crime, rather than simply holding that person accountable. We're doing our best to take God out of everything, then wonder why all of these things are happening. Make no mistake, it IS a people problem.2 points

I was playing on a course once in New Mexico that had a green with a lake on three sides. I hit a sand wedge over the water about 100 yards and landed on the green pretty close to the pin ... when we drove the golf ️ cart over to the green my ball was nowhere to be found .... I looked over near the edge of the water and a goose had my ball in its beak .... when I tried to get it the goose went into the water and dropped my ball in the water ... tru storie ......2 points

Cringe... Instead of sitting behind a keyboard and literally politicking on smoaky(???), maybe you should go to the track meet and support the kids from the community. Maybe show your face at an actual school event.2 points

Tony, that is not old school at all and plays into your need for attention. I will not go on Facebook Live. You are welcome to come by to visit sometime but leave social media out of it. And I’m not sure why you want to debate me, I’m not even running for anything. Lol1 point

The government that's deciding the choices in this scenario is the actual will of majority of voters. These aren't decisions being handed down by some unelected bureacrats in Austin issuing regulations on a whim. What pro-choicer's fail to acknowledge is the simple fact that abortion kills another human being. It's not really "my body, my choice." Want abortion legal in Texas? Elect a majority of legislators that will legalize it. Good luck with that.1 point

Hi Tony. We live in a world full of keyboard warriors who love to jaw back and forth about what they perceive are facts when in actuality they don’t have all the facts. Fake news abounds. They are quick to spew an opinion and like to rile folks up to get attention. I’ve seen it time and time again in this age of social media. Let’s go old school instead. You know where my office is and you can easily get the number. I’m here 7:00 to 5:00 M-F but lunch fluctuates. Give me a call to make sure I’m here but come by and we can discuss this face to face. You’ve had a lot to say on social media about many things and it’s probably just better we have a conversation. OR find me at the area track meet today. I’ll be there supporting our 28 kids who advanced and our coaches. Running starts at 1:00 in Cushing. OR if you can’t make it this afternoon you’ll find me at Groveton this evening for baseball and softball. Boys have a double header starting at 5:00 and the girls play at 6:00. Been a while since I’ve seen you. Have a good day and……. GO JACKETS!1 point

And I am okay with it being a state issue, I just want it to be a constitutional amendment in the state, not just a law. A constitutional amendment allows direct democracy--meaning the people get to vote on it.....if the majority says "NO Abortion", I would live with the vote. But I am willing to say that the Pro-Birthers would not stop if the vote was for legalized abortion.1 point

Tucker and Bregman are leaving people on base at a amazing rate, they use to show how many they left in scoring position on gameday but not anymore for some reason1 point

I can’t think of anyone who left because of the UIL thing. There are at least four families who left in middle school before that decision was handed down by UIL who were unhappy. They did what they thought best for their kids. Two families ended up at Rusk, one at Wells, and one at a private school in Lufkin. The middle school athletes have done well in every sport. They are district champs in football, basketball, and track. The HS won Varsity boys and JV district track titles this spring and should do well at the area meet this Friday. We will be better next year in football with what we have returning, although I believe in 2-3 years we will be “back to form.” The middle school kids are just very competitive and win in everything; good numbers too. They have that mindset. Contributing to our hardships of late is the lack of a true JV squad. That goes for baseball, too. Low numbers hurt when you are playing schools who are higher in classification and those who are 2A with JV squads. Those younger kids standing on the sidelines (or in the dugout) and not getting playing time hurts. We are trending upwards with our numbers and the talent is there, though a lot of it is young. Consistency with the same AD and coaches will help as well. Coach Grigsby will be in year 3 as the head man (6 overall at Alto). I believe our future is bright and trust we will be back to our winning ways soon.1 point
