  1. Man, what the heck happened?? It just disappeared
  2. Said this before, I'll repeat. The Tomato Bowl is landlocked. There is no place to build a parking lot on the Home side. It's downtown. There is some parking on the Visitor side. The property next to Tomato Bowl wanted massive $$ for it and it wouldn't hardly add any parking. The total cost for the land and the parking spaces was $1.25 million. No way. Would we love to have more parking? Absolutely. Tax payers did not want to pay $1.25 million for visitor parking for only 100 spaces. Again, we can't help being landlocked. Hasn't hurt us getting playoff games. We had 7 in 2019 the first year after the remodel . . . and several since then. One tonight, one tomorrow, and I;m sure next week as well. I hear you though . . . wish it could be fixed but that's the explantion.
  3. Marshall, if they protect football. But I’d Marshall had 3 more turnovers, WH because they just always make you pay for your mistakes.
  4. Tx High’s Grimm, Pine Tree, Corsicana, Henderson. Going to Lindale Friday, looking forward to seeing the upgrades, heard good things. Expecting a lot of playoff games again this year at Tomato Bowl. We are centrally located, too, so that helps,
  5. I can’t either. But I’m about 95% on that…. I could be wrong
  6. No idea what their record was . . . but I know the 2024 senior class were not undefeated for two years in 7th and 8th grade. If you know something different, please correct me What I do know is the CURRENT 9th grade did not lose a game in either 7th or 8th grade. They've lost 3 this year because 5 of them were moved to JV and several, including two great DTs, tore ACLs.
  7. Where did you this on DCTF? I couldn’t find it in magazine. Or is it on their web site? JAX is 1278 and Lindale at 1201.
  8. ‘Jacksonville and Kaufman scrimmaged at Tomato Bowl on Friday night. Both teams scored twice in the 2 12 minute live quarters.
  9. JISDLIVE PROMO SPOT 2.mov JISDLIVE.com and our YouTube channel JISDLIVE PROMO SPOT 1.mov
  10. For the past eight years, we have used digital scout for all of our football statistics on Jacksonville Football broadcasts. What a great app! Unfortunately, they are discontinuing it in 2023. Are there any other broadcasters out there who would like to share what they are using? Appreciate it!
  11. Matt, I finally got someone to respond and they said they would call me. Appreciate you taking care of this!
  12. Hahahaha, I'm sure! I still can't buy a subscription to that site. Messed up. Emailed them and everything, their instructions do not fix it.
  13. Matt, trying to buy subscription . . . is there something wrong with the site? When I go in to Manage Subscription, I get: Error loading sub info: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection, Action`1 wrapCloseInAction) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean callerHasConnectionLock, Boolean asyncClose) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.TryRun(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean& dataReady) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.TryHasMoreRows(Boolean& moreRows) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.TryReadInternal(Boolean setTimeout, Boolean& more) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.Read() at System.Data.Common.DataAdapter.FillLoadDataRow(SchemaMapping mapping) at System.Data.Common.DataAdapter.FillFromReader(DataSet dataset, DataTable datatable, String srcTable, DataReaderContainer dataReader, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords, DataColumn parentChapterColumn, Object parentChapterValue) at System.Data.Common.DataAdapter.Fill(DataTable[] dataTables, IDataReader dataReader, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords) at System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.FillInternal(DataSet dataset, DataTable[] datatables, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords, String srcTable, IDbCommand command, CommandBehavior behavior) at System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill(DataTable[] dataTables, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords, IDbCommand command, CommandBehavior behavior) at System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill(DataTable dataTable) at dsSubscriberTableAdapters.NewAdditionalSubInfoTableAdapter.Fill(NewAdditionalSubInfoDataTable dataTable, String userId) in C:\local\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\eb7df07f\a93480ae\App_Code.vhzgobt8.65.vb:line 7131 at wsSubManger.newAdditionalSubLookup(String userId) in C:\home\site\wwwroot\App_Code\webservices\wsSubManger.vb:line 608 ClientConnectionId:2cff5ff3-7cbf-4151-8cdc-cb6499e26e50 Error Number:8169,State:2,Class:16 ClientConnectionId before routing:db314059-2f33-450b-9de4-63168b91f988 Routing When I try t get the Dave Campbell All Access, it doesn't have a place for my email (?) 14. 1997 Jacksonville got beat with 13 seconds to go on a FG by Texas City 22-20 in the 3rd round. JAX was loaded. Josh McCown at QB, Kevin Aldridge, Billy Jack Williams….. all went to SMU. We were loaded. Finished 12-1. Texas City had FIVE players sign with Texas.
  15. Not in Spring sports. You did NOT sit for a year. That was the reason for my post, it just didn't make sense those sports were treated differently.
  16. Exactly!! I did not, that's for sure. Parent was transferred for job. This is how archaic the UIL was (and still is) on many things.
  17. The transfer rule got me in 1976. In middle of my 10th grade year, moved from Garland to ‘Jacksonville in Feb. 1976. I was ineligible to play varsity football or varsity basketball my junior year. But what a lot of people don’t remember about that rule is I was all allowed to play varsity baseball as a sophomore and run varsity track as a sophomore — which I did both. But I couldn’t play varsity football or varsity basketball months AFTER I played varsity baseball and ran Varsity track. How goofy was that by the UIL? Be glad they changed those stupid rules.
  18. All this climate change stuff creates these kinds of conversations. It's like the climateers think hot summers in Texas just started. Go back to 1980, sorry, that's a long time ago, I know. There hasn't been a hotter year since. https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/digging-through-the-archives-summer-of-1980-heat-wave-remains-unmatched/3295723/
