  3. Thanks for the great laughs this week! Waskom has too much team speed and wins 41 to 20!
  4. Oh don't you guys worry, #10 is going to be a factor. The thing is, you never know whether it's going to be a positive or negative factor. Last week he cost #11 a 99 yard TD pass and #4 the TD reception. Those are records that can only be tied never beat. But get this, the penalty for hitting a player in the back happened on the opposite side of field...like 50 yards alway from the play!
  5. So here's a pretty dirty play that happened during the Waskom vs EF game this year. Watch the EF DB try and cut the Waskom lineman from behind after the play is over. Curious to hear everyone's opinion on how this compares to what the Celina QB did. THOUGHTS? trim.C2E58B98-E8DB-4FC7-8195-FD3EF6990A98.MOV
  6. Without a doubt it's going to be a cat fight. I think JJ is still a little too excited after Arp's game against Shelbyville from Friday night. Yes Arp won and won big....62-14...but after watching the game, Arp's win wasn't as impressive as the score was. Shelbyville turned the ball over 6 times out of their 10 possessions and most were in their own territory. Shelbyville also runs the Slot T and their O-line currently lacks the physicality it takes to be successful running that offense. Arp stacked the box and just over powered them all night. So with all that said I think even JJ is unsure if Arp really has the tools needed to make a run deep into the playoffs. Everyone loves JJ but we also know that he brings no substance to back up what he is saying. Here's some substance for you guys.....take the lopsided blowout against shelbyville (2A) out but don't worry JJ, for this stat we'll keep Alto in which is another 2A school you guys scheduled. Arp did play Tatum so that helps out your strength of schedule lol. What you're left with is 31 point average per game for and 17 points against. Hmmmm....so Arp has only outscored their opponents 31-17.
  7. I read the article where they referred to Parker and if I remember correctly they did clarify him as the leading receiver for public schools. Either way the kid is killing it.
  8. I'm not a coach, or a teacher, or admin for Waskom. Langley there is not a way for the average fan to watch complete games. I have the pleasure of helping the Waskom coaches with keeping stats, so with that comes the ability for me to watch complete games on Hudl. I think Hudl and the schools are missing out on huge opportunity with the public. There are a ton of fans who would pay in order to watch games of an upcoming opponents.
  9. Just like I said earlier....talking to just talk! You have no relevant evidence what soever.
  10. Veer.....hahaha! You guys have a nice group of backs for sure but after watching a few of Arp's games tonight, Waskom will have no problem holding you guys to under that 40 point mark you predicted earlier. If it wasn't for a few lucky plays against Hughes Springs you guys would have only won like 28-20 and Waskom's D is a considerable amount better than Hughes Springs. Yes lucky plays are part of the game but it's not something you can depend on week in and week out. And so that everyone doesn't think im pulling a JJ and just talking to talk....I'm referring to the play when your QB is wrapped up by 2-3 HS players and he basically pitches it to one of the slot backs without looking and the back takes it 65 yards to the house. The other play is when the HS back fumbles the ball forward and it bounces straight into Medlock's arms and well, he gone....75 yard fumble return for TD. I'm surprised to see that with this 4 headed monster that's crushing folks that Arp is unable to sustain long drives for TDs on a regular basis. It's going to be one heck of a game....Wildcat Warriors against 4 headed monsters. We've all seen the movies folks......the Warriors always find a way to slay the monsters.
  11. That actually cracked me up! I'm sure you have to be a jokester in order to hide the pain from the last few years.
  12. Hmmm....interesting! So Arp scores more than 40? JJ, you're a pretty sharp guy in regards to high school football except for when it comes to a Waskom vs Arp matchup. So if you don't mind, please clarify your reasoning a bit for me. Let me try first. Are your thinking that our coaching staff, who has won back to back state championships, doesn't understand which defensive formations and schemes they need to put in place to disrupt the flexbone more than usual for you guys? You do realize that Waskom has ran the flexbone for 6 years now, right? Hold on wait, with all of the playoff and championships games we've played during the last 3 years we should call it more like 7 or 8 years worth of games, so our coaches totally understand what it takes to slow up the flexbone. Nevermind....of course you know we run the flexbone. Waskom has ran it down Arp's throat for the last 3 years and has made it look so good that you guys switched to the flexbone mid season last year. Yes that's right mid season! And yes 3 years because in 2013 KJ and JuneBug introduced you guys to the flexbone like no other has during a scrimmage that year. I haven't talked to the coaches about it but I'm sure that you guys switching to the flexbone mid season had to make them feel pretty good about what they are doing. Dang my bad, I guess that I clarified that part of it for you JJ so let's move on. I guess you assume that Arp's players are just that much better and it will result with Arp having 40 or more and Waskom with less than 20. You know, i would have pretty much agreed with that reasoning up until 1 minute before kickoff last night. However, once the game started we saw a different team on the field last night. They actually played like a team for the first time this year. There was no arguing or blaming each other, just tons of players encouraging each other and being there for their teammates. Last night the fans got to experience watching a lot of players, who are first time starters this year, actually mature and man up last night. They played with the passion and with an engery level that Waskom fans have grown accustom to. So I'm super pumped and Friday night can not get here soon enough. Sorry for writing a book guys. I guess I took too many vitamins today or maybe it's from seeing those Wildcat Warriors play hard, fast and psychical last night.
  13. When it comes to haters, Waskom needs new haters because the old ones became our fans!
  14. Maybe honorable mention at best but I'm even a lilttle hesitant on that because if I remember correctly he picked Franklin!
  15. Wild74, Ringside and Buddy Garritty are the Smoaky All State Team with a 31 game pick'em win streak! B2B STATE CHAMPIONS!!!! FAST HARD PHYSICAL #22
  16. I find it comical that some posters think franklin was the better team and them making too many mistakes was the reason they lost. So what about the mistakes Waskom made or the missed calls. Guess you didn't notice those. The socalled mistakes are a wash and Waskom was not to be denied last night. Chan averaged 9.7 yards a touch with Franklin knowing he was going to get the majority of the carries yet they still could not stop him. Waskom was the better team and Waskom won....end of story!
  17. I had Chan having 257 yards on 29 carries and 3 TDs. He also had 2 catches for 45 yards. So 302 total yards on 31 plays......9.7 yards per play! AND don't forget this MAN did that along with playing defense all night. On D he had 11 tackles and one forced fumbled! Hard Fast Physical Defense wins championships!! Back to Back!!
  18. Great game Franklin! What a way to wrap up the first day of championship games! Now for all you haters and non believers.......the crow buffet is now open! Who's first?
  19. GAMEDAY BABY GAMEDAY!!!!!! #22 Back To Back Defense Wins Championships Hard, Fast, and Physical
  20. Ok so the Crockett wasn't that close and I haven't had a chance to watch that game.....just kinda shocking that a dominating D like Franklin has gave up 50. Whats your prediction again horns? I know you love some crow so I need to know if I need to buy an extra case.
  21. I picked up a case of crow when I drove thru Arp today. They love that stuff there. I'll have the crow buffet set up for you guys tomorrow night right after the game. Eat up!
