Yes the defense played bad, however Franklin's special teams let Crockett back in this game. Two onside kicks recovered by Crockett back to back. When Franklin offense had the ball they would score. I think a few tweaks by Hedrick and his crew will have this machine back in tune for next weeks game. Lol or he may be sitting in the corner of the gym the week after watching the boys dribble that round ball.

I am going with Franklin, however if the Franklin team that played Crockett shows up it may be a long night for the Lions. Yes they put up a lot of points but they played too sloppy in which East Bernard will put the game out of reach should that happen again. Wonder where this will be played..

Really? There is something really wrong with this whole picture... Please explain to me how is it Newton has this "tougher schedule" and yet has failed to be ranked if they are so much better than Franklin? I have seen them throughout the year receive votes, but have not impressed enough to move up. Either I am missing something or the "tougher schedule" as you call it really isnt all that tough. I could care less either way who wins against Franklin/ Newton, I am just curious on how you come up with this stuff?

Thank you TALLmex, I am not at all taking anything away from Newton. I know they are a very good team and execute really well, I am just saying that Franklin isn't going to come into this game and rollover. It will be closer than all East TX thinks and may be a shock to most there. Franklin has a All State linebacker that will be head hunting and the Newton ball carriers will get to meet him first hand. This kid is just a Jr. and knows the game. Will be a fun one to see the outcome. Good Luck to both teams.

Are you guys being serious? Crockett beating Rogers? lol- Crockett barley got by a weak Clifton team and if memory serves me right Rogers beat Clifton to the tune of 37-6 this year. I safely say that Crockett will be warming up those Gym lights within the next week and half. Not only that Dublin team (which Newton is praising about the win against) got a win against this WEAK Clifton team that Crockett is basing their strength off of also got it handed to them by Rogers. I think Rogers will walk all over Crockett.....

I watched Franklin play this past Thurs and I think all might be in for a surprise. I know in the years past they ran their bread butter pitch to the outside but not this year. They go up the middle a lot and surprisingly do a good job at it. They will every now and then go outside but just enough to keep defense wondering. Will be closer than a lot of folks think.

I believe they are playing this one Friday night in Palestine.
