lol not sure if trolling but what is Nac gonna do vs Brisbon, Stewart, etc? Guaranteed they're better athletes than anything Nac will put on the field Friday Night.

How much tape have you watched of Nacogdoches? That #3 isn't a bad football player ijs. He looks like a future P5 WR and like I said I doubt Chapel Hill has a Kedren Young. So I don't think Nac is going to be overwhelmed. Stewart and Brisbon are about 180lbs. Nac didn't have a problem tackling our 220lb 4 star RB headed to Notre Dame.

Last year's game has absolutely nothing to do with how this year's game will turn out. We all know that.

I think it's just human nature to look at last year's scores. It's more about returning starters and what did you lose and what did you replace it with. For Longview I look at you losing Hale and having to replace a 3 year starter at QB. Offense just doesn't look as dynamic as last year. Defense looks better and that worries me for sure. Maybe I'm way off but we all we find out Friday soon enough. This is the only game I root against your Lobos.

To be fair, the fact that two of the main Lobo fans are calling blowout has me pretty pumped. If Quick made it a perfect trifecta I'd be absolutely elated.

I'm not saying it can't happen because I really like the Longview defense and maybe they can overwhelm the Lufkin offense to the point it gets out of hand. I think Lufkin has made tremendous strides on the defense and I'm banking on that. The offense has to hit a few big plays to make it interesting and they're capable. Rosters can change in a year and make a totally different game. Just like Longview beating Temple 45-7 only to lose 40-13 the next season. Your big 3 didn't see that coming. These are different teams from the 49-7 beating Lufkin received last year and I expect a much different game.

What are your thoughts from the A&M game??

We need to neutralize the blitz better. They need to lineup faster and get the defense to show the look and either call or adjust the play. Dropped a TD pass and had one called back. Console was a little better then I thought defensively but our offensive line is nothing special and I suspect they will struggle Friday again. We could have easily lost that game but credit the defense they stayed active and made plays. We're allowing 2.1 ypc through 3 games. I think it's a quality win against a playoff team. Real test is Friday. I'm not looking for a win that would be a bonus but we need to play well. We can't get our teeth kicked in again. That would surprise me.

This was the perfect time for an Aggie joke but I'm going to take the high road. They going to suffer bad enough getting fleeced by Jimbo

For real…I see the confidence in winning but other than a few people, I don’t see a lot of blowout predictions

I'm on record I think Longview wins but I don't think it's going to be nearly as easy as some of them think. Don't let the QB hit easy PA passes. Make him work and take away his first read. Gang tackle Tatum. Need Zion to own the middle. I'm excited.

so you have one playmaker? i dont thnk the dragons can double everyone CH has, you key on one and another speedster steps up

6 players scored a TD last week

I'm a Lufkin fan and I know how good our defense is. You better double him or he is going to abuse a 1 on 1 match-up. I can't see CH having better offensive weapons then Lufkin so I don't think it's going to be something Nac hasn't seen.

Good coaching makes the dudes. They identify talent early and cultivate it. I have seen schools go from a few D2 guys to multiple D1 guys in two years. Winning also increases your participation numbers which increases your talent base. A coach needs to good at what he does and also be a good fit. I have seen good coaches take on bad fits and the results are not good. Too many folks think you can plug and play great coaches and it just does not work that way.

I'm not saying coaching doesn't matter but best believe talent matters at some level and that has a lot more to do with Lufkin struggling these last few years then coaching.

Naw, Bro. Look at Lufkin prior to Outlaw arriving. Look at the Carthage Bulldogs prior to, Scott Surratt arriving. Y’all got to stop making excuses for him UNLESS you’re satisfied with where you’re at NOW compared to where Outlaw had you guys at THEN.

Truth is Outlaw was struggling in his later years at Lufkin. I'm not saying coaching has zero effect but you better have some dudes at the end of the day.

How many lives does Coach Q have down there??? It seems like his deep rooted association with the Late Coach Outlaw has the Lufkin Administration in a peculiar situation where they refuse to make a sound, rational decision in the direction of the Lufkin Panther Football program. I think you have to ask yourself if he didn’t have said association, would he even still be Lufkin’s Head Coach???

I don't think it matters who the coach is if you don't have the kids that can play. A good coach is only going to mask a few problems. Dabo finding out it was never about him at Clemson. You better have some Dawgs.

Who was the favorite? To me both games was a pick em for JT. You wouldn't have been wrong if you would have pick Marshall over JT or Lee over JT or JT over both of them.

I guess multiple TD underdog is what he's going for. I do not disagree with anything you're saying about that

It WAS competitive at one point. Lee won 5 in a row (and 6 of 7) under Mike Owens. He had them competing at a high level for years. In 2002, they went to the semis. In 03, the quarters (lost in 3OT). And in 04 they won state.

When Longview started to roll, a few games were still close. In 2006, the game was tied 10-10 with just a few minutes left when Longview returned a kickoff for a TD. In 2007, the game was within a possession. In 08, Longview won 21-0, but it was 7-0 after 3 quarters. After that, I think only one game has been even remotely competitive. Sad, cause Lee used to be a big game to look forward to.

    Them Lee teams was tough

Boy some people on here are delusional. JT was definitely tested. You went to 5 overtimes against Marshall and you barely beat Lee. If those teams are good or not they was definitely tested. It was not a walk in the park for JT. If I'm being honest, Lee lost that game more than JT won that game. I was being nice when I said the better team won Friday. Lee was the better team Friday night. I'm a tell you why. Nobody on JT defense could stop 0 for Lee. He was killing the JT defense. Then all of a sudden the coaches decided not to go to him anymore. He scored the 2 td's to put Lee up 14-0. He was on his way to having a career day and coming out party to let people know who he was. 2 catches equals 2 td's and you stop going to him. Im still baffled about that one. Then Lee should have scored 4 more td's that was either overthrown in the end zone are the receiver's drop them in the endzone. Case in point. The qb overthrew 0 in the 1st quarter in the endzone that would have been a td. 14 for Lee drop a td in the endzone after he beat the db from JT. 19 drop a touchdown in the endzone after he beat the JT db. 4 drop a td in the endzone in the 4th quarter that would have been a td. That's 28 points that Lee should have had. You add that with the 14 they already had and that's 42 points. These are facts. Someone tell me if I'm lying. The Game film doesn't lie. Lee had more passing yards and rushing yards than JT. Lee coaches got a lead and tried to sit on it instead of being aggressive.

Everyone who comes on here from Tyler whether JT or Lee. They start spewing bull 💩. I'm calling them out from here on out. I was being nice and respectful about alot of stuff. I have a great reputation on here. But I don't care about being nice anymore. I'm tell the truth whether good or bad. If I get suspended for calling them out for how I really feel. Then so be it.

Lol you was holding that in I see 🤣. I kinda get what the JT fan is saying if he means tested by a team that is supposed to be a heavy favorite.

No because neither one of teams were really good imo. We were just super young and inexperienced. Horn will be the best team we play outside of LV and y’all cause Lancaster is iffy right now.

What does JT return from last season and are you guys playing sophomores?

I don’t really know much about horn this year but I do know they have one of the top OT in the country 6’6 305! Sheesh but also it’s not saying much beating probably two teams at the bottom of their districts same thing for Tyler. Both teams won’t be truly tested until Friday. I think it will be a good one. I like Tyler by 10 since we are home.

You don't think JT has been tested yet? Didn't the Marshall game go to OT and wasn't Legacy a score game in the 4th?

His name is jaylan  brown he also plays   varsity basketball too. What’s helping him breakout this year more than last year is he isn’t playing both ways. Plus he wasn’t the main target. He’s the guy now.

Thanks. He is going to get some offers in football. His highlights are ridiculous through 2 games. Just watch.
