McKinney would give Aledo all they wanted too. You do realize they beat Allen last year and lost to SLC by 7. I saw them in person last year when my kid played for Temple. That defense is no joke.

Half of that McKinney defense is committed to D1 or P5 schools. Tatum is a stud but McKinney is a really good football team.

I remember listening to that game on the radio. Lufkin needed that win to remain in playoff contention. Kedren Young just recently broke Manns single game mark last year. Can't remember the exact number. I'm expecting him to have another huge year.

I watched most of the scrimmage they had with you guys. I saw some stuff I think we can exploit Friday night. This is probably the best backfield Lufkin has fielded at least in my time watching them and I can date back to 1994 with Denvis Manns.

Didn't see a thread so decided to start one if anyone has any thoughts on this one. I think Lufkin rolls. I don't think Legacy will be able to establish the run or stop the run. I'm not going to put a score out there but I have something in mind I just don't wanna say it .

Found it interesting McKinney added a SR QB from one of those Garland schools that has a ton of experience. Duel threat kid that will be entering year 3 as starter. No offers but has interest from FBS schools and they also added a 3 star LB committed to Oklahoma St from Richardson Pearce. I guess nothing like being in the DFW.

I watched them in person last season vs Temple and the defense really surprised me. They should be better across the board except at QB. They lost him to SMU if I remember correctly. I do like Longview but I really think it will be a close game.

This is going to be a really good game. McKinney has D1 kids all over the field. The huddle up and slow the game down. I expect both defenses to give the offense real trouble. I like Longview in a close one but McKinney winning wouldn't surprise me.

This list just blows me away. Lufkin was a fumble from the 1 yard line from going up 24 points late 3rd vs McKinney North. Lufkin is going to run them out of Abe this year. This game shouldn't be close.

Lufkin DT Zion Williams just added a Alabama offer. He was hurt most of last season trying to play through a back injury. He wrecked Lancaster last season and that was probably the healthiest he was. He is one of the top interior DT's in America.

Tyrone Ross was a bad boy for Lee.

Lufkin was from 98-2006 1 state title, 3 seminfinal, 1 quarter final. They were as high as #2 nationally during that run. What could have been if not for SLC.

He is everything you would want off the field too.

He still has a long way to go. That Wallace kid that moved to grand oaks is 10 times the player he is.

This is what I love to see. Just from that offer you can tell what type of kid he is in the classroom and off the field.

They only got 1 quarter in but I've watched every practice this spring and they're going to surprise everyone this year with how good they will be especially on defense. I can't wait for the season to get here.

When is the Longview spring game? And will it be of GameDay?

Get ready because Lufkin isn't taking a back seat this season. They should had won the McKinney North game last year you can't blow a 3 score 2nd half lead and now this game is at Abe. Then they had Lancaster in trouble most of the game. Another one they probably should had won. If Lufkin doesn't turn the ball over 4 or 5 times vs Forney I think that game could had gone different. The defense was keeping them in it and the offense was turning it over. Longview is the only team last year that made Lufkin look like they don't belong and I don't think that will be the case this year. I still favor Longview but it's not gonna be 49-7 or whatever it was. I expect a much better game.

And we may not beat them but I think it's definitely on the table.

Its just a good match-up for Lufkin. They really should had beaten Lancaster last year and that was with a lot of 10th graders that are now a year older with even more moving up from the loaded 25 class. I expect the game to be similar to last year. Both defenses getting the better of the offenses for most of the game.

Lufkin is gonna have a good team this year. I think they can beat Lancaster and Forney and take 2nd in district.

Forney is coached really well but they don't have near the athletes Longview will trout out there. Forney has a few kids at WR that can go but I like the Lobos big in this one.
