It is common very common lol I’ve just seen Marshall too many times flounder when if they had a average or better QB we’d be dangerous outside of Hart and Green when he actually played it’s been a drought.…but Alvarez might be the remedy with the Backs and receivers we can roll out minimizing the QBs importance just might be a stoke of genius I’m sure you can agree all the teams you listed we usually have better skill players outside of Longview and sometimes lufkin..

I’m fine with the hire honestly with our inability to consistently find a stud traditional spread QB his offense might be a blessing in disguise… I am curious to know who the other finalists/applicants were though

Sure but when you're small and not particulary mean its quite problematic lol our guards were in the backfield as much as the RB was and we couldn't run in the A gaps at all it just doesn't make sense to have the smaller quicker guys inside

I just wish we would kick Hines back inside and run behind him and Hood our guards are tiny and it stymies our offense

The offense showed a lot of flashes IMO we just need to get some flow into the playcalling etc it's just gonna take time to get things to gel

I like the idea of putting a ton of athletes on the field in a 3-3-5 as long as the db body types can handle themselves in the box if teams like longview are able get those big bodies on smaller guys it could be a long night, Macon and Hurd were both pretty salty DBs though

Wondering how we're gonna do against the run if Hurd and Macon are LBs and not safeties now

Marshall Longview will always be Marshall Longview to Marshallites no matter the importance it holds on the season people still come home for it etc it's just how it goes... I always make sure I make it because I don't want to miss one of the times we might actually win lol

The only worry i have with all the move ins etc is chemistry but winning early and often would fix that I'd reckon
