Daingerfield girls make the playoffs annually in volleyball and basketball. Over the past few years we have have had athletes in track. Last year we had a girl receive a track scholarship to commerce.

Mostly everybody was predicting a redwater win. So it was really not a big deal, but congrats on your win and make some noise in the playoffs. By the name daingerfield has never won a game.

It starts with kids. This kids have to be willing to put in the work and change things. The coaches are not blocking or tackling. It all started this summer with kids not coming to summer workouts. When you only 15 kids coming to workout and most of them being jr. high kids, what can the coaches do.

Yes I believe this team is just has talented has talented as last year group. You will see that this team has talent when we play New Boston. This group just talk about how they want to be on the wall but didn't want to put in the work for it.

Most season the district title was going to come down to Daingerfield and New Boston an everybody knew it. Yes most of the tigers fans have turned their backs on the team, because their performance this year has been unacceptable. Because you are not from Daingerfield, I know it is hard for you to understand. A standard has been set and this team not meeting that standard. I'm not just talking about win and losses. I'm talking about playing with tiger pride. Playing the game like it means everything to you and leaving everything you got on the field. But I think what most of us are disappointed in the most is that it seems like that are content with what is happening. I believe this kids forgot what being a Daingerfield Tigers really and truly means. I don't think they realize that every week are playing in that teams state championship game. That they are going to give everything they got. Because beating Daingerfield are some programs biggest achievement and everybody would love to say they have. Daingerfield being down should only be surprising to people not from Daingerfield. Daingerfield will be down for the next 4 to 5 years. The athletes are just not there and the school enrollment is steady declining. Daingerfield is smallest school in their district and I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop down to division 2 next realignment.
