  1. Congratulations Gunter. #28 was a threat couldn't be stopped. #5 was fast and great player. Now time to move up into the bigger bracket like Celina . Gunter is to big for this school size.
  2. Well obviously you don't understand how to read. I never said ALL the wrong kids are playing or that ALL the good players were on the bench. I simply said I believe that some players could be utilized better. LO has NOT had a hard time with coaches stating here. The coaches here typically stay awhile. I'm guessing if you are such a highly educated coach and taken so many classes you are aware that LO is a very small town and the pay here is not great. Coaches are obviously going to take a higher paying job verses the pay at LO unless being in the same town benefits you as far as family etc. Want to talk about parents not supporting the coaches....lol....I guess your parents at your school cheer on you as a coach verses the kids on the field actually doing the work. As far as this thread being about the game....LO took the win last night! Those boys played their hearts out. They made adjustments where then needed. S&S kindof beat themself. They had tons of stupid penalties....most of them being false starts. LO did a good job last night....the only real issue was again poor clock management. Granted the crowd was really loud and players couldn't hear plays being called. But the play book is the same every week and taking as long to call a play is crazy. Pretty sure if you were in the stands last night you would of heard alot of fans complain about that.
  3. Not bashing....Lone Oak has always had a great football team. Gone to playoffs for years, maybe not past the first few rounds, but always in the playoffs. Lone Oak has a very young team and young coaching staff. It's going to take them a year or two to start meshing together and figure it all out. Not everyone is going to be a fan of every coach at any school, just like not every parent is going to be a coaches favorite. Does LO have a shot tonight? Of course. LO might completely run over S&S or vice versa, or it might be a head to head battle. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of LO, the coaches or the players. End results....it doesn't matter what ANY of us say...the coaches will do as they see fit (right or wrong) and that will be the final word. Good Luck to LO tonight...I hope for a W.....I'd like to see LO go far but I'm just being realistic.
  4. So....you must be on the inside at LO....then maybe reading these will give you a few pointers that you could use or pass onto your fellow staffers. Or go ahead and move on to basketball. LO wins by luck if they win.
  5. Red...is this your post? You seem to get very offended...quickly?
  6. LO total under utilities the better players. Using the wrong kids for receivers, sidelining kids that would be a better fit for positions. Bad play calling and the same defense over and over loses games. Adjusting to the offense of the other team is the key. If people from the stands can see it...I'm not sure why the coaches or the guy that is in the press box isn't seeing it. As I stated previous....LO has a HORRIBLE clock management problem. Seen several games where they stand and let time tick off the clock while trying to decide on a play to call. LO has a running game more then a throwing game. LO has always gone with a running qb. If S&S has a throwing game...LO is in trouble. Not enough to stop them.
  7. Will be an interesting game. Clock management will be a HUGE factor....something LO is not great at!!
  8. No they practice longer then 5:30 usually 6:30 or later, but NOT allowed to go to the in season sport until after 4. The whole point of this post was asking for "HELP" with what would you as parents do or who would be the best person to talk to about this situation other then the AD. The AD is pushing it under the rug...and basically has the super in his pocket and no questions are being answered to parents. There is no reason for any of you BIG school guys to get on here and give your opinion of what you think is stupid or that you don't believe this or that comment.
  9. Obviously you didn't read all the comments....Most of the kids aren't palying two sports they are just playing baseball but not being allowed to practice baseball...at our school baseball has never been an after school sport
  10. The boys are being required to stay till 4 even on days that there is not after school practice. After football was over most kids moved to offseason. When the bell rang if they choose to leave to ride the bus home etc. there were rude comments made to the kids by the coaches. These are grown men teaching high school kids. These coaches are suppose to be role models not drill sargents. The sports program will end up failing because kids will end up quiting.
