  1. Just a word to the wise LittleRed, coaches do not like numbers being thrown out or injuries being talked about on these forums. If a coach wants an injury to be known, they like to disclose it at the next game when that young man is in jeans and his jersey. But the cat is already out of the bag on this one. Would love to see Malakoff and Teague both win this week, so they both roll into next week undefeated and ranked high. I am sure Elkhart is a great team with some great coaches. Both teams will be well coached.

Well like I said my mistake and my apologies. Did not mean any harm. I assumed since others were talking about it that is was ok. Obviously not. Won't happen again. Just didn't expect that kind of response. I've seen people on these threads talk about injuries and numbers, and even in some cases names and never seen that kind of reaction before. Didn't know that it was taboo. Just make your point, correct me if I'm wrong and move on. Don't make it personal. Thanks for the advice.

  2. Don't care what you think a thread is about or about message board etiquite. I created a profile to tell you to shut your mouth about any possible injuries that may or may not be factors moving forward. Since your response obviously removes all doubt about your inteligence I regret trying. You and only you brought up a jersey number and made a statement about it. I should have simply remained a passer by and not attempted to stop and fix stupid. Because that's impossible. I can't wait until your next exhibit that further proves this.

And as for you if you would have just left the "don't be a clown" part off of it and left it at that your point would have been well received and well taken and nothing else would have been said. But you wanted to push it and get personal. Maybe I was incorrect for saying a number and for that I apologize, my mistake. But I really don't see the need to take it to the level that you have taken it.

  3. He's fine. Hey Little Red, bad form to talk injuries on a message board. Don't be a clown.

If you where paying attention half this thread is about injuries. Don't think it's bad form just clarification. If I were you I would try and keep it civil and not resort to name calling or you just might end up wearing the wig and the big red nose.

  4. I don't need to check the stats. I watched the entire game. I was kinda shock that yall left yalls QB in after he hurt his leg late in the third.

He wasn't injured, more of just a stinger. Looked worse than what it really was. Did lose #21 thought. He may be out a while.

  5. Try and contain #4 and #10. If either of them get some room to run you won't catch them. They are small but very hard to bring down because of their quickness. Like trying to tackle Barry Sanders, especially #10. Good luck to you guys.

  6. Westwood has a way better offensive than I gave them credit for. They have three kids on that team that can flat out fly! And....they never quit! Now our tackling got a little sloppy after we were up 40-13 but I assure you that will be addressed this week. Lol. As of right now I would have to say Eustace will be the odd man out this year unless they can take down Malakoff, Westwood or Teague but I really don't see that happening with their "run only" offense.

  7. No disrespect to Malakoff, but what good team has Malakoff beaten thus far this season reciever18? Understand this, I believe Mtown will win big tonight but the question still stands.

DF is a very good football team. Unfortunatley their record doesn't represent that because their 5 loses came to Atlanta, Gladewater, Gilmer and Henderson, four very good 4A teams, and us. Edgewood is also a very good football team with a stout RB and a 6'5" 235 lb D1 QB who is going to Rice. Mildred is down a little bit. Kerens is always tough and Scurry is decent as well. All five of these teams went several rounds deep in the play offs last year and will probably go again. And no disrespect to Westwood but I pose the same question back to you, what good team has Westwood beaten thus far this year? And like you I also think that Malakoff will win big tonight. I think Westwood is heading in the right direction and has done a 180 from last year but this is not the same Malakoff team from last year.

  8. I can't wait til Friday night, ready to see if the D keeps improving.

Don't think you will get a very good assessment of your D on this one. Pretty sure you guys are going to shut them out. I would be shocked if they score on you. Should be an excellent opportunity for some of your younger kids to get some playing time. Good luck to you guys. Although I don't really think you will need it. Lol

  9. Powder puff schedule? Lmao! Everyone of the teams we've played so far this year and beat made it to the playoffs last year. Some went three and four rounds deep. The combined records of the teams Westwood has played this year is 6-13. I think we hung almost 70 on you last year. Enjoy your little win streak cause it comes to a end next Friday.

  10. No dissing or disrespect here. I hope Athens pulls it off but.....Van ain't no joke this year. I think they are going to surprise a lot of folks. I think it will be a close game. Both offensive's are really good and control the ball well. I think this game comes down to who has the better defense. On paper Van will probably be favored to win it in a close one. Good luck to the Hornets.

  11. Teague and Malakoff are hands down the top two. Eustace will be scrappy, Elkart should be too. The book is still out on Westwood. Don't know if they have played anyone yet with the fire power of a Malakoff or Teague. Would like to see how they handle it. I'm sure they will be well coached.

Teague at Malakoff is gonna be a good one and I bet there will be a lot of eyes on that game from all across the state. I'm sure there will be plenty of points scored but I think whoever has the better D comes out on top in this one. My money is on Malakoff, but I may be a little biased. Lol

  12. I went to a small 1A school back in the day and we played 11 man ball. After I graduated the numbers dropped and they went to 6 man. I tried watching some games but it just wasn't the same. Yes it is a competitive sport but I compare it more to the pick up games we used to play in the back yard on Sunday afternoon's. I agree it gives the kids something to do but it just isn't real football to me. Everyone is elligible to catch a pass and the QB can't run unless someone touches the ball before him. Most teams snap it to the RB and he hands it off to the QB to get around that little rule. Furthermore if you have 2-3 kids that can run a 4.5 or better there is too much open space to catch them. One quick move and they are gone to the house, which results in the crazy high scoring games. Now that same school did go undefeated in 98', winning the state championship and I believe the 45 point mercy rule was in effect in almost all of those games. When my son got old enough to play we moved to another town so he could play real football. I see it both ways but I prefer 11 man ball. Plus those kids, even if they are exceptional, don't get as much exposure as the bigger schools. Just my thoughts. GO MALAKOFF TIGERS!!!!!!!!! LOL
