I don't think you get a top quality candidate that would only accept a one year contract after what has happened in the last couple of years. This guy was "run off" after less than a year. Although, there are some coaches that will sign anything just to be a head coach, so who knows.
I agree a one-year contract can be tough to attract anyone to really want to jump in, especially considering it looks like a total rebuild....they'll get someone because there's always people wanting to be a HC, but will the quality of candidates be there?

1) I was told yes, but the paperwork will tell the tale
2) Not any longer
3) He just enrolled Friday but I was told from multiple sources there won't be an issue with the PAPF

In the end you can't prevent a kid from enrolling at the school...if he's got a clean PAPF he'll be eligible...if he doesnt have a clean PAPF we'll have a fun SEC hearing

Pampa is open. I believe I read where their AD/Hd FB guy is going to Gilmer as an Asst.Robinson is from East TX originally, I know he coached at Tyler Lee at one point..guess he's wanting to get closer to home

They dont have those kind of kids at the moment...they have had a massive amount of turnover but I think the worst is behind them...plus realignment was kind

Nothing ever happens during spring break...its not a surprise its slowed down...what will happen now is a lot of the open jobs will start to fill up....as they hire other head coaches from other spots that creates the domino effect changes....then in May we'll see the late retirements where guys leave last minute to try and set up their guys to get the job

I anticipate things are going to get ramped up here right when they return from spring break...

If it's who most seem to think it is, there will definitely be a reboot. If they let the guy coach, and help him with parents.
I know of at least one candidate who got the "you didnt get it call" today sounds like a decision is imminent
