  1. Freshmen lost to Gilmer last week by 3 points. First loss for them in 3 years.
  2. PG Freshman team won 40-22. Rabbits scores came against the 2nd and 3rd team defense. PG JV was set up to win but fumbled inside the 5 yard line. Rabbit player (#7, kid is fast) scooped inside the end zone and ran over 100 yards to score.
  3. He definitely has a concussion. Expectation right now is that he will be cleared by Friday night, but they may not play him in order to give him more time so that he is healthy by district play.
  4. I totally understand that THS doesnt have a lot (if anything) to gain from playing PG......but PG does want to play. I'm not saying it would be the right decision for THS....I'm also not saying that PG would win......just defending the fact that PG does want to play since someone on here said that we do not. That fact is proven because PG requested the game for this current season.....more than once.
  5. PG was good last year and should be much better this year. The Grove has it's largest senior class in recent years with 20 returners. Good speed. Improved secondary. No idea how visible that improvement will be in the hardest district in the state. This game is really important for the Hawks because their schedule only gets harder and the do not have a bye week. HAVE to get the win and try to start with good momentum. Hawks by 14
  6. I'm fairly new to Texas and trying to learn the UIL rules versus where I moved from. I'm sure this is on the UIL website but I'm too lazy to search for it. So.... What is the rule regarding underclass men playing up to Varsity and/or being eligible to still play in sub-varsity games? Ive heard something about a 3 quarters rule....
  7. PG will be good this year but that district is gonna be killer!!!!!!!!! 5 of those teams would compete for district championships in many districts
  8. Joe is a great player. the only knock on him is his size but I believe that he will prove a lot of people wrong while he's at HSU
  9. PG shortstop/pitcher Joe Pearlman has signed to play for Henderson State University. This kid will do great things and the schools that passed on him because of size will regret it. Way to go Joe!!!!!!!!
  10. that game is September 16 at The Star. Should be a great experience in that facility but it will also be cool because it will be father and sons coaching against each other for the first time.
  11. PG will be good in time for district play. They are struggling a little in the middle infield while two seniors are trying to recover from major surgeries. Also hurts their pitching staff. They are supposed to be healthy by district play tho.

the Frisco game is against Coach Gibson's dad and will be at Cowboys facility. It is scheduled for the next 2 seasons. The Arkansas game is also scheduled for the next 2 seasons. Not sure about the others. Unless something has changed, we do not have a week 1 game. we won't have an off week between predistrict and district so staying healthy will be a big deal for us since there is no extra week to heal up.
