Sounds like an awesome group coming up! And most definitely next few years arp will be hard to handle.. our 8th grade was undefeated district champs as well.. got 3 running backs on that team that could have started on JV this year.. and our QB on that team is the son to an athlete that played at CC in 1997 and still holds the rushing record for over 3,000 yards Anthony Harrell was his name, both of his sons play on the team, one is QB and RB.. and this could possibly be the biggest group I’ve seen come through CC .. they looked like a very big JV team this year so I’m very excited to see after they get in the weight room for a year...

How did arps 8th grade do this year bud? Any special talent that’s coming up?

Yes sir #42 is a bull! And I believe he will make the difference in this game Friday night.. I have said all season I would love to see #5 on the field at the same time #42 is .. play some misdirection.. get everyone going after #42 to one side then break the play off to the other side with #5 .. i think our our best approach on defense will be send a lil pressure but don’t over do it and set a spy on their QB.. and let our corners do their job on Winona’s receivers , #5 and #3 who is our QB did a pretty good job on yalls speedy receivers the other night .. so we need to keep their QB in the pocket and make him throw or either hand it to #27.. but we don’t need him scrambling.. im excited for this one!!

Won’t be too bad.. that’s only a few years away..

When this years 8th grade CC team gets up to varsity everyone remember 09 called it.. lol they will bring another ring back to corrigan

Just checked the weather for Longview Friday mr Jett! No rain at kickoff and gonna be right at 50 degrees! Perfect football weather

That’s all I want too man.. is our team to give it their all.. that’s a long drive for a team to come out and play flat... lol

After watching film on Winona and seeing them play harmony and cooper, I feel like CC’S running game is going to give them trouble.. theres no doubt Winona will show up and play hard that’s no at all what I’m saying.. but our #42 is a bull with pretty descent speed .. most of his yards come after contact and he doesn’t go down without a fight.. i feel like if we shut down #1 and #27 for Winona we win this game..

It all depends on the defense we are up against, if you get a chance to watch the CC and EF film look for #42 he is close to 1,500 yards on the season if he didn’t go over that Thursday night.. and when the defense goes to keying on him that’s when our QB will pull it and take off.. and the joker can throw too although we don’t do it often...lol he stood at the 10 yard line and hit a receiver in stride across the other 40 against EF.. #7 is our fullback and is a lil bull.. and #5 is our other RB , we don’t run him much cause he plays defense as well but if the kid ever sees daylight lookout! I promise you mr jett that Winona will have CC’S up most respect when we hit the field Friday night.. any team that’s still in the playoffs is not to be taken lightly! And I look for this to be a good game! This will be corrigan and Winona’s first time to square off ever so I’m excited!!
