UIL has talked about it some, but right now the majority (by a slim margin) wants the split to remain in 5A...

I think there's a decent chance the UIL moves Lufkin...I dont see them moving Highland Park or the Mesquite schools, mainly because no one from those districts protested

With Longview moving to 6A and Tyler travels is going to be 90+, I would to see HP and TH moving in with Dallas and Mesquite schools in 6-5A and call it 7-5A.

Take the three Carrollton schools out of 6-5A and put them in 3-5A with Denton and the north Ft Worth schools. They are all north anyway.

Why is Granbury in 3-5A? Take Granbury, Aledo and White-settlement back to their area with Burleson, Joshua, Cleburne, and throw in Midlithian, Red Oak. And they can call it 6-5A.šŸ¤£. I Know, itā€™ll never happen.

Lufkin won't be there, they will be over in Region III where they belong. Anyone think HP moves to 6-5A ,and then W Mesquite and N Mesquite move to 7-5A?

I Feel that Tyler should be appealing as well. You needing a couple teams to make out a south Ft Worth district so you s### on two East Texas teams and have the nerve to call it 7-5A.Ā

I was very pleased with our effort up until the last 6 minutes of the 2nd quarter. Longview looked out of character but our defense played a huge part in that. Tutt does not have very much accuracy and I wish we couldā€™ve took advantage of the Willie Nelson muffed punt. Weā€™ve had some good opportunities. Give the Lobo D a ton of credit. They made adjustments and came after Granberry. JT is a second half team but dang, we canā€™t stop Tatum. Dude is running possessed šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø I have no idea what McFall was doing on that kick return šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļøĀ

Yes, I think the offense got a little pass happy. Slow it down just a little, and try to stretch LV defense to slow it down.

I need for yā€™all to have that same energy when the post-game show airs tonight! Donā€™t make me have to come looking for ya! Make yourselves as visible afterwards as you are now, is all Iā€™m sayingā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.

Iā€™m all about the energy, It is, What it Is. Iā€™ll be right there saying, ā€œ What happened wasā€. šŸ˜‚Ā

Who'd have thought that Tyler would be sitting at 6-2 right now?Ā

Their two losses (McNorth and Lancaster) were by one score.

I was the first to say it. Woods was a very solid hire for Tyler. Whether they make the playoffs or not this year, this season probably exceeded most people's expectations. When I made my Tyler preview in the district thread that I no longer update (that's a different story), one of the first things that I said about Tyler was that they were 'interesting'.Ā

Tyler is also fairly young across the board with more reinforcements on the way. Woods will have CUJO rolling next year, and definitely the year after.

Lufkin on the other hand seriously needs to clean house. It shouldve been done years ago to be honest. Tyler is not a more talented team than Lufkin at this point, but won the game. I've been to 3 Lufkin games this year including last night. That staff severely under utilizes what they have. You wouldn't even know that Lufkin has multiple D1 caliber WRs because:

    1. QB1 can't get them the ball, despite being a 3 year starter?Ā

    2. I've seen 7 year olds on Madden with better play calling than Lufkin's OC. #18 had a huge mismatch the entire night and his number might've gotten called twice.

    3. The staff flat out does not know how to manage and utilize the talent that they have. There are even kids sitting on the sidelines, specifically in the '25 class that could've helped Lufkin a lot this year but, yeah.

It also seems like it's been at least since 2017 that I've seen a decent Lufkin OL. That alone needs to be addressed. You will not win games without winning in the trenches.

Yes I thought Lufkin had Talent all over the field on offense and defense. Their defensive front was quick off the ball, #19 and #6 was landing some blows. I thought their receivers did ok whenever QB got them the ball, there was some miscommunication with #19. Whenever they would put #4 in motion they had him and #14 on the post open all night.IMO

Beat Lufkin. There wasnā€™t much walk about this game. What is going on? I know that itā€™s not for district but the playoffs are still on the line.Ā

Neither one would make any noise in that fourth place.

Mcmiller being out at RB since the horn has really slowed down the running back. We have no speed back there right now. We have not been using mcfall enough. Line him up at running back to give it a boost!

I feel that they should line him up more in the slot, this will create a lot more Ā different touches instead of the same old predicable ones. Plus it will help with the other wideouts.Ā
