I am hearing there will be 40 to 60 new houses being built on the Star Harbor road in the next few years. So we will likely be facing some numbers in the near future.

To be honest, I'm surprised we haven't had won one yet. Have had a handful of teams that made some runs that could've. Maybe getting now that koff has made it over the hump, it'll get it going.
We were unlucky and had bad breakers here and there or we would have more in our trophy case. It takes 3 things to win a state championship, great coaching, coachable athletes, and a little bit of luck. This year we had all three.

Malakoff really caught some breaks against Brock...I think they'll need some similar types of breaks to beat Franklin
Could also argue malakoff’s Defense and special teams created those breaks.

The only way this stays close is if Koff's defense scores 21 points like they did to beat Brock...Franklin by two touchdowns.
I don’t think Franklins D is as good as Brock but I could be wrong. I think our offense will click a little better.

Congrats on a great season Brock! What a great program you have had over the years. I am sure the transition to 4A will be a smooth one and you will be highly competitive at the next level.

Well here we are. What every team dreamed of from day one of two a days, to play for a State Championship. Last night was a game for the ages and we can't afford to slow down long enough to catch our breath.
I am sure some will say the Tigers may come into this with a hangover after such a dramatic game and others will say we only got here by luck and that is OK.
Franklin has a great program and is the favorite going in and rightfully so. We will need the best game of these young men's lives and yes....a little luck on Thursday to change that.
I expect this to be another great battle. I am picking my Tigers of course and will have my score prediction next week.

Mostly it was Brock controlling the line of scrimmage on offense and defense. Brock was able to run the ball effectively and Malakoff was not. If that is repeated, this year will more than likely be the same outcome. If Malakoff holds their own up front then they have a good shot of winning.
If our backs and receivers get to the 2nd level it will trouble for Brock but if they can contain them then it may be a long night for us. We will just have to see how it pans out.

Black/ Gold Tiger , Koff 11, MHS 77 and the rest : Good luck tonight. I too think this may be the best overall team in the Driskell era. I told Coach after the Teague game as I was impressed with the overall team speed from top to bottom. Brock has the size to matchup with y’all but I agree with Allintheheart, that y’all pull away and play Franklin for all the marbles.
This is by far the most focused team we have had and have been that way since summer workouts. This is a special group for sure and regardless the outcome they should be proud of what they have done. I know Tiger Nation will be there giving it all we have to keep the energy up on our side.

Held of my prediction until today Malakoff 31 Brock 24. Go get’em Tigers

They are also not as good as they were this time last year.
They re a good team and will lay lick on you. I think they have a problem when some hits back just as hard and that is the reason for all the PF's they get. I think it will be a good game and the team that makes the fewest mistakes wins

Yup
But they didn't beat anyone by 90 they didn't even score 90 in a game. Must be new math.

Is he saying Brock by 90 in that one clip?

I don't think our coaches turn in stats to Maxpreps the ones that are showing likely came from teams we played.

I believe this will be a big test for the Tigers but I also think they are ready to take the challenge head on no wild predictions this week I’m sure from anyone that knows football. This will be a close game. I will reserve my prediction for later in the week but I’ll do have the Tigers in a close one.

It's gonna be a good one. Good luck to both teams and may everyone remain healthy. GO TIGERS!!!

Fair prediction. I agree it will be a lower scoring game than many are expecting. And turnovers could certainly keep Winnsboro in the 20’s. Or it could flip to 31-28 Winnsboro with an untimely Malakoff turnover.
I think special teams and field position will be key in this one.

Ready to make my prediction Malakoff 35 Winny 24

I watched the Winny/Canton game last night #2 can scoot and IMO is the better of the 2 backs from what I saw in just 1 game. Finney ran well and had some good passes. IMO these 2 teams mirror each other. I believe the team with the fewest mistakes and doesn't give the other team good field position will be the winner. I don't think Winny will kick the ball deep so they will pooch kick like in the Canton game. They advantage goes to the Tigers having good field position.

This thread is almost as much fun as root canal. Give it a break guys. These are 2 very well coached very talented ball teams. Nothing that happened in any other game matters now all that matters from this point on will happen Friday night in Forney. Why don't yall just whip'em out and I will get a tape measure to see who has the bigger "Johnson" and get it over with.

No underestimating here. But I do not think either team will put up 50

On 2 back up cb's with one having a knee injury and then the other having to go in last minute. Then the first time I've ever seen Koff had a bad kickoff coverage, where our kid decided to run past him instead of break down like he is supposed too for a td.
Keep on thinking that. Davis is back and was looking like his old self last week. You may want to get some facts before coming up with that.
On the kick return we had about 8 JV kids on the field too.

if Malakoff can keep Winnsboro under 50 more power to them. i dont see it happening. if Malkoff can score over 50 more power to them. i dont see it happening
I have not had a chance to see Winny play yet so can't speak to what they can or can not do but I do not think either team hits 50. If the winner allows 50 points then I do not think they will get past the next round IMO. Defense wins games when you get this deep.

This game will feature what might be the two best quarterbacks in 3A football. Both defenses seem to be hitting on all cylinders right now to going to be the game of the week and all of Texas high school football. I gotta go with my tigers in a close one.
