  1. i dont understand some peoples logic.. OF COURSE track helps with football and vice versa. not saying that a pole vaulter ONLY will, but in general, it is true.
  2. An athlete should be able to do both. My son in particular manages both and hasnt missed either a game or a meet. He is a starter in baseball as well as a state contender in track. It CAN be done!
  3. I am a firm believer that one helps with the other. It should be mandatory to run track if you are playing football. IMO
  4. Quitman and Frankston are both pretty bad as well.
  5. of course they did snuffy.. you sure yall didnt have your JV pitcher out there?? geez, take your butt whooping like a man!!
  6. basketball coach is what i heard.. i also hear the community is LIVID about it!
  7. there will be a good race tomorrow between Gilmers Kris Boyd and Sabines Dain Duncan. They have ran 10.56 and 10.7 respectively but neither have had anyone push them yet.
  8. sabine lost to ef 2-1 wo beat nd 3-0
  9. its a 4 way tossup imo.. wo, nd, ef and sabine. but dont count jefferson out either.
  10. how is baseball team this year?
  11. interesting.. give me your order of finish then..
  12. Sabine is 4-1 so far with their only loss to Brook Hill.
  13. Cottontop, I am not sure if waskom had move ins from other schools, but I am not at all going to agree with you. Waskom will finish dead last in a district that is stacked with 5 other teams that could go 3-4 rounds. Good luck to Waskom but I think your enthusiasm is merely wishful thinking!
  14. the entire 17-3A district will be tough!! WO, Sabine, New Diana, Jefferson and Elysian Fields all have a shot at district title (white oak and sabine each won their districts respectively last year). Expect to see a merry go round in this district!!
