Just to let everyone know, Ryen Lawhorn doesn't have a broken collar bone. I took him straight to the emergency room to get an x-ray when we got back into Longview after the game. The doctor said it was a deep bruise and no fracture or broken. He still hurts, but hopefully Coach Bennett will have him ready by the first district game.

Lawhorn didn't get much playing time because he was just released by doctor on Tuesday because of knee issues of both knees and had to have MRI done. He should be back and ready for Friday against Center. He is one of the fastest kids on the team with great hands. You throw this kid the ball and if it's even in the area code he will catch it. People talk about Morton and how fast and good this kid is, well Lawhorn can flat out fly and is probably the best receiver Gilmer has hands down. Not getting many looks in football but I understand he is getting several interests from major D1 and D2 colleges in baseball. Seems to me several people on here knows who playing in SC game so why are these other teams even bother playing? Not knocking any teams that are left but Gilmer has the chance of being there just like the rest that are still in it. You have to play the games first. This is the playoffs anything can happen. Yes Gilmer can be beat just like the other teams as well.

I am a Buckeye fan first, but I pull for Carthage as well since I did graduate from there in the late 80's.

Wow you really don't know what your talking about. I'm glad you're not a college scout. #2 was ok for Center. I'm sure he played better during the year than last night. Yes he caught a few balls but he also dropped several as well. The QB for Center has a great arm but not very accurate. I thought Center played us well. Center has a great coach and they should have several successful seasons year after year. Good run Center. Now own to Pine Tree and play those "Wabbit's"

Now it happens after I have already bought 3. One in for my son in 2004, one for my daughter as a cheerleader in 2009, and another one for my youngest son in 2014. Not many people can say they have 3 children with state championship rings. My dad has 5 grandchildren all with state championship rings. How special is that.
