I suspect there will be an alternate mechanism to replace the funding for public schools. It is also probable that there will be an income range/cap for voucher recipients. I have spoken to legislators about this in person.
because those guys are known for telling the truth

has there been any movement on this

3 things I speculate will happen
1. Private schools are about to raise their rates by $XXX dollars because thats what the government gives them. Every few years we will have to raise the amount of money given, and they will raise the rates. Look at the other states and follow that. That is what Texas will look like soon. These politicians are making Texas just like everyone else.
2. Eventually, the state will have control over the private education sector. As parents start complaining and those school teach what they want to teach and what is not told to them, problems will arise. This will lead the state to want to account for tax dollars they are spending, leading to oversite. The unwanted product of all of this is now private schools, that people were trying to get away from the government telling them what to do, will be ran by the government.
3. DFW/San Antonio/Austin/Houston are about to be greatly effected. You could soon see IMG type academies popping up pulling the best of the best to their teams. The real question is going to be will public schools play them? It doesnt work well when other states allow those type schools to play public schools, but it happens every year.

Now Lumberton and Keller Timber Creek!
I don’t know that QC falls into decent/good/great jobs category just for the simple fact that have been stated above.
PP is interesting just because of the tradition it once had. Can that be rekindled with the right fit?
Judging by the news article I read, the tradition has sank like the titanic. Coaches being fired, trainers doing nefarious activities, multiple administration changes. Lots of negatives going on there.

Maybe he is sending his response back through the pony express?

as far up into the north east as it is......they definitely still use telegraphs. Not sure the DFW does though.

and 2 years later, the job is back on the hunt again. Heck, a lot are turning over in a year!

Thats important to a lot of hiring committees they dont care where or how you did either
yea, been seeing a lot of mediocre to bad records getting more jobs. Not saying the bad records is all their fault but when, at best, they are 5-5......

isnt the AD and HFC seperated at Detroit? Volleyball coach or something is the AD? Could be way off here.

Turning into one of those deals that, unless you have a large twitter following and have sold a book, you gotta go take some of the really bad jobs and hope for 4 wins.

To be honest this surprised a lot of people. He was already thinking about retiring and giving it one more year at Koff and then retiring, from what I heard. His wife retired last year from being the middle school principal at Koff.
He was making more money at Koff than what the former AD/HC at Kerens too. Maybe Kerens offered him something that he couldn't pass up and probably more money. I think he'll be there for a couple of years and will retire, imo.
I don't mean this in a bad way or anything like that. I hope he makes an impression there and gets Kerens where he hopes they can be. Wish him all the best.
It is shocking. Malakoff has another run in them and he is towards the end of the ride as far as coaching and teaching goes. He has been with Driskel since the beginning so him leaving is a little shocking. As you said, must be an offer that couldnt be turned down. The Sup was a former Malakoff guy as well if I read right.
