  1. Unsung player of the game for the Rangers - Semien. He reached 1B 4 out of 5 ABs. We have DESPERATELY needed this. This will be the key to winning tonight. Our bottom half has really pulled us through as of late. We NEED Semien and Seager to have quality at bats tonight and REACH BASE. Seager has reached 6 out of 27 ABs, with 1 being a HBP. Semien up until last night, had reached 4 out of 22 ABs. The guys are huge for the Rangers, and rightfully so. Astros fans are boo'ing a league minimum right fielder, but these 2 are our big guys. Adolis has done great this season with RBIs because these 2 get on base. They have to get back to their old ways. Jump on Javier early. We need this Cristian Javier to show up.
  2. Also, the grand slam was huge. It allowed us to save our already super thin bullpen for tonight. We're wide open pitching-wise tonight minus Monty and Eovaldi. Either way, this season has been an absolute blast. I've had so much fun watching the Rangers this year. What a turnaround from last season. If deGrom hadn't gotten hurt, there's no telling where we'd be, or we might not be doing as well. If he hadn't gotten hurt, I don't think we would have ever gone for Scherzer or Monty, and though Scherzer hasn't been the best pitcher for us, Monty has been lights out, especially in the post season. Most of his losses this year came from ZERO run support. Eovaldi was a HUGE pickup this season. If he hadn't gotten hurt, he may be at the top of the conversation for a CY. Josh Jung had a huge breakout season. By far my favorite Ranger. I think he'd be a ROTY if not for breaking his thumb making a GREAT play.
  3. You're not wrong, and I don't think it's every fan base. Their fans are becoming as hard to handle as Yankee and Dodger fans as far as online goes. When we went to the ALCS game 2 though, the fans were great in person. Congratulating for the Rangers win and everything. The toxic ones really show up on the internet though. That being said, the baseball world still hates Houston for 2017. It hasn't even remotely subsided in 6 years lol. So Houston fans have this "us against the world" mentality.
  4. So here's my theory on the entire situation; I don't know if Abreu hit Adolis on purpose or not. Did it make sense? Maybe, maybe not. Managers get tossed all the time. When they feel the big MO swinging the wrong direction, there's all kinds of things that could come into play. The entirety of the situation played to the Astros favor. It kept Jose Leclerc on the bench, who had been RED HOT through the post season up until that point. Adolis got tossed, who I think the Rangers feed off of when the top of their lineup is struggling so bad. People can say "situationally it doesn't make sense, so why would they do it?" all day long, but it really didn't make a difference if they walked him or not. Rangers were ahead 4-2, Astros had the bottom of their lineup coming up... why not just go ahead and hit him? In the end, I do find it hilarious that the Astro fans boo Adolis relentlessly. Adolis hit the biggest homer of his career, and celebrated as he should. Even Verlander said he wasn't out of line. He then gets BEAMED by a 98 mph fast ball in the shoulder, on the first pitch. OF COURSE he's mad. We all know Maldy is always jacking his jaw on top of everything else, so tensions were already high. But at the end of the day, Adolis didn't eject Abreu, and Adolis didn't administer a suspension. Adolis can think all day that Abreu did it on purpose, but that makes no difference. The umpires thought he did it on purpose, and obviously MLB thought he did it on purpose. But by all means, keep booing Garcia. Feed the beast.
  5. What a terrible game to watch. Our defense looked awful. I just don't know anymore man.
  6. It's 47-0 Atlanta with 9:02 left in the first half, for those who care.
  7. Top of the lineup screwed us. Absolutely undependable when we need them most.
  8. Yes but I feel like he'd want him thrown out because his bat is no bueno.
  9. I wish they'd leave the pitcher in. He was doing fantastic.
  10. Man, Adolis isn't the greatest hitter, but man has he had some huge moments in his career with the Rangers.
