  1. I'll be looking forward to this game when the week on November 25, 2024 hits. Long road to go until then.
  2. My predictions on the big games - Oregon gets revenge on Washington - Texas beats OSU handily - I hope Alabama beats Georgia, but think the Dawgs win this on - Michigan rolls Iowa - FSU beats Louisville
  3. At this point, I expect Texas to be left out. We've been rooting for teams to lose the past few weeks only for them to escape by the skin of their teeth (looking at Washington and FSU specifically). I'm anticipating FSU beating Louisville and whether or not Oregon or Washington wins, one of them will go. It really comes down to FSU. Will Louisville catch them slipping? I'd love to be wrong, but FSU is a galvanized group at the moment. They just find ways to win.
  4. I would like to see Murphy go somewhere and succeed. Mississippi State might be a good spot for him.
  5. Maalik Murphy has removed β€œTexas” from his social media bio’s. I suspect Murphy will be hitting the portal.
  6. Just give me a Big12 championship. What happens after that is what it is.
  7. How many followers on Twitter does Billy have? He ran to Twitter to announce the Stoops hire too. But apparently Twitter isn’t credible lol
  8. I’m not discrediting his hires. They’ve been good. But this whole thing has been strange. I guess my question is, is it really Bjorks fault or are the boosters getting in the way of the administration trying to follow the process?
  9. Players want Robinson. But you don’t listen to the players. If Texas had let the players have a say, Charlie Strong would have had an extension. I would say that Bjork is smarter than that but after the past 24 hours I don’t know about that.
  10. Not a good hire. Period. It could be worse, but it’s not great.
  11. Yes, you and I know that, but the committee won’t admit that that’s the only reason why they would be considered. Is Ole Miss Bama’s best win??
  12. I would not be surprised one bit. Greg McElroy had a good point. For the top 8 teams, every team was being evaluated differently by the committee. Georgia - record and previous champion Michigan - record (definitely not resume) Ohio State - Resume (wins over ND and Penn State) Washington - resume (W vs Oregon) and eye test Florida State - record, but moving out of top 4 due to resume and eye test Oregon - eye test only. Resume is not top 6 worthy Texas - resume, but not eye test Alabama - eye test, resume It genuinely makes no sense and further validates how stupid a 4 team playoff is. You would think so! But you just can’t be sure what they are looking at. That’s what is extremely frustrating about the playoff evaluations. It’s so inconsistent
  13. Yup. I think the A&M fans who are attracted to the name and his association at Ohio State would be disappointed. He would also require (I imagine) a heavy salary that imo would not justify his true value as a HC.
  14. If the committee values resume in any way, Texas should without a doubt be in front of Oregon. But we still don’t know what they go by… eye test, resume, record? It’s different for every team
  15. Is Ryan Day worth it though? To me that’s a Lincoln Reilly type hire. A guy who inherited a top 5 program but can’t win the important games. If he can’t win at Ohio State, how could he win at A&M? Not slighting A&M there, but Ohio State only has to beat 2 teams in the regular season every year, and that’s Penn State and Michigan. He can’t beat Michigan (until today possibly), and he can’t win a game in the playoff. A&M will have to beat more than just 2 teams year in and year out, and he wouldn’t be gifted a top 5 program. Can Day do that? Can he really reach those expectations? I just don’t think he can and don’t that would be a good hire. Just my two cents
  16. They played Yormarks comments from the summer over the Jumbotron
