  1. Dang, we’re cowards because your boys took an L? All that trash Longview fans talked all over every social media platform in the state and now you’re butt hurt. Just take some Midol and few shots of whiskey. Good season, see y’all in Lufkin next November ✌
  2. We’re going to be D1 and will be 6A by 2026 at the latest so no such luck. We don’t get the fortune of a stagnant enrollment like LV has. Y’all just caught us in a tough year. We finished in 4th place playing the exact same teams we dominated in ‘21, that won’t happen again.
  3. Get on the SETX board and go check who said it was LV “greatest team ever”. I told y’all then and all throughout the year y’all wouldn’t win state with Allen at QB. Your QB is in the same boat with Kingwood Park’s QB who also humiliated Crosby. Heck, KP’s QB is committed to UTSA so Allen isn’t even that good
  4. I mean, but nobody was supposed to be able to do this to Longview’s “greatest team ever”. Y’all won the region, which y’all were predicted to do, and nothing more. For now y’all get to watch the title game from the house just like 2-8 Nederland. I would say we might see y’all in something else but Longview sucks at all the other male sports. So see y’all next November, y’all better have a QB next time y’all see us too.
  5. I thought this was Longview’s best team ever? Y’all just lost to a team that’s slightly above average for Aledo standards and playing their first year in 5A-D1.
  6. Do y’all feel that the new receiver will make that huge of a deal if Longview gets the same caliber qb they did last year? I watched the McKinney North, Magnolia, Lancaster and Denton Ryan games this weekend and came to two conclusions that juxtapose each other. First conclusion I came to is that LV could’ve probably won, or at least played for, a title if they had better qb play last year. Second conclusion I came to is that if they’re running that kid out there that’s the best they have and the play at that position makes LV rather beatable. I know the MN game where he threw all the picks get looked at as the outlier but he played the same way vs Magnolia, their athletes just couldn’t make plays on the ball like MN’s could. If Magnolia’s qb was competent enough to just throw the ball to open receiver LV would’ve been in a real bind in bi-district. I do think LV is the most talented team in the region this year but I’m wondering if they’ll get good enough qb play to actually be able to maximize that talent or will it be more like last year’s team? Figured if they had a “guy” he probably would’ve been on the field last year as an underclassmen?
  7. That’s unfortunate but we’ll take any break we can get. Hopefully they played on the LOS? Guess I’ll go check the football app and see which kids it was.
  8. I don’t think TH is going to have the best defense we’ve seen all season. I think Carthage and Manvel were better for sure, I also think PAM with that size and speed was better. I see TH’s defense pretty equivalent to Texas City’s from the 4 games I’ve watched from them. In order for TH’a dbs to feast on interceptions they have to be near the receivers and last year they weren’t which is why Dunn threw 6 tds. When y’all did kind of cover he took off and ran for over 100 yards. Myles is a better runner and passer than Dunn was, he also has 1,100 rushing yards and 19 tds to go with his passing numbers. Keep in mind he’s probably only finished 5 games this year. Speed doesn’t bother us as much as size does. TH has nowhere near the speed that PAM does and we handled them fine. Three of our receivers are probably going to be on our 4x100 relay team and I think are going to give your dbs all sorts of trouble. Our receivers and Myles taking off from the pocket/avoiding the rush is where the Crosby speed will stand out the most. I also think the closing speed of our defensive line is going to be an issue for TH.
  9. I misspoke on the other site. We only have 19 interceptions on the season to go with 7 fumble recoveries and 64 sacks.
  10. I’ve watched the TH vs PNG game three times and I didn’t see a lot of terrorizing against PNG’s qb. They got to him some but Crippen can’t really run, if you give Myles that much time and those type of running lanes when y’all vacate in pass coverage he’s going to run for 15-20 yard chunks all night. PNG’s o-line created gaping holes at times in the run game, we’re going to the house in those situations. PNG’s qb was just missing some throws he normally makes. I can’t count the number of wide open receivers I saw running through TH’a defense. That’s going to look magnified against Crosby because. Myles also isn’t going to force the ball into tight spots and give y’all easy pics like PNG did. He’s going to pull it down and run it and have your defensive line gassed from chasing him. Texas City just can’t score so that result really didn’t surprise me. Crosby had them down 36-7 at halftime and 50-13 after three, they last 21 points came against backups.
  11. Carthage must still have half their starters out with Covid? I was told on multiple platforms that was the only reason they didn’t blow teams out?
  12. TH got a dream of a matchup with TC in the area round, TC had the worst offense of any of our playoff teams. They beat PNG in overtime though so they earned the 2nd spot. Probably going to feel much more like you’re playing our runner-up this week though. PNG is not good on defense and hasn’t been for years, they understand that though. Coach Faircloth chooses to use his personnel where he thinks it will be most effective. They just hope to play well enough on that side of the ball to keep them in games and try to outscore you on offense. Their o-line IS big like you alluded to and they’re not as soft as you think a team would be with those defensive statistics. Bottom line is that if they can repeat their performance against Montgomery then they’re going to score on TH. I was at their playoff game Friday, that offense was flat out balling on Montgomery. Question is can TH score 40+ on PNG?
  13. BH just smashed the #2 team in the state 42-21 in the first round. They would probably win y’all’s district with how they could matchup with TH at the line of scrimmage. Lol, Nederland is a lot better than Marshall, they just play in our district. They were ranked #7 in the state at one point this year, plus they’re a team that just plays Crosby tough. They beat us last year in the last regular season game, this year Crosby was basically two clear of the district and had nothing on the line when we played them. It was 31–10 when they scored against the backups in the 4th anyway. I hope we can rematch it too though, I think it would be an easier game than the matchup we have this week with Consol.
  14. It does, y’all played Texas High in October though. Theoretically you should be closer to your peak at that time. Especially for a team like Crosby who lost 16 starters off last year’s state finals team. The same night TH only managed to beat y’all by 15 Crosby beat a team that would finish 2nd/3rd in y’all’s district by 52. Both teams have basically played on those trajectories since that night. I do agree with you that Longview is probably better than Crosby though.
  15. Good season Marshall. Crosby looks like we’ll be D2 for one more re-alignment so I hope we see y’all again in the next year or two in a title game. Y’all should be moving back to region two and Aledo is moving up so maybe y’all can make a run.
  16. Lol, I guess. One team beat you by 38 and could’ve been 50 if they chose, one team beat you by 15 and you said y’all played bad that game? TH just beat our 2nd place finisher but has a much tougher matchup with PNG who was our 3rd place finisher now. Crosby best PNG by 40 so I expect TH to at least be able to do the same.
  17. Little bit better execution from Code Red on that last drive and Marshall is down 30 at the half. Someone asked if Crosby’s defense was better than Texas High’s and I said it was but statistically it might not show because of the number of possessions teams have against us. Marshall has already had the ball 7 times and probably has 0 total scrimmage yards outside of that duck #24 threw up. Crosby is going to get an easy 50 today and Marshall probably won’t score again until we have all twos in.
  18. Nah, it means they probably had extra possessions because Crosby scored 50+. Lot easier to hold team’s offensive production down when they’re only getting the ball 8 times per game. Crosby kicked the ball off to Madison 12 times last week and either punted twice or punted once and turned it over once, either way Madison had 14/15 possessions that game. It was 51-6 at the half and that 6 came against mostly backups in the second quarter but eventually you give a team the ball that many times they’re going to make some plays on you, even if it was against the JV and freshmen. Marshall can score in the 20’s on Crosby and points per play average similar to the one the put up against TH.
  19. He wasn’t lighting up BH before the half either, that’s why we were getting worked in that game. I don’t care about the Carthage game and haven’t for three months. If opening games were an indication of what you are/were going to be then that blowout loss to New Caney to start the year would’ve been our season long trajectory. It’s Carthage fans, and much more on the other site, that continuously bring the game up. It’s Carthage fans that continuously inject themselves about threads having to do with Crosby on this site, the Golden Triangle site and even the Friday Football App, it’s ridiculous. Great game by Carthage, I’ve probably said that no less than 100 times this year but over and over and over they comment and say stuff like you just did after a response to “we beat Crosby but we would’ve won by more” from three months ago. Carthage is the last team Marshall should be taking advance from, that film is obsolete. I guess if I want to see what Marshall is today I should watch the New Caney film instead of the Rudder game? Smh
  20. Y’all didn’t score 28 the entire game so you definitely didn’t score 28 in the second half alone. You scored 17 offensive points in the second half and returned a kick with 80 second left. Good luck you y’all too.
  21. Yeah, and if Myles didn’t start cramping in the second quarter and limping the whole second half the game wouldn’t have been close IMO either. Half your team wasn’t out, you were missing I believe four total starters. Someone one the other site went and compared you starters in the Center game to what y’all started against Crosby. You don’t have 11 D1 kids like Manvel so whatever starters you were missing aren’t some huge impact like it would be for them. If it was your offense would look better this year. That’s why I hated dropping down to even play that game. It was a lose/lose situation. We would’ve gotten nothing from a win but now that Carthage ran back a kickoff with 80 seconds left in the game they’re some authority on us, lol? The absolute last thing anybody judging Crosby should put any emphasis on is a game three months ago where we were breaking in 16 new starters. COMPLETELY different team you’re lining up against vs the one we fielded in August.
  22. Lol, you can look on our usual board and see there’s nothing angry or condescending. Not trying to force anything, just pointing out what are IMO some fallacies in theory.
  23. Crosby would destroy TH, just like we did last year. There’s not a single position group on the field except MAYBE db where TH has an advantage over Crosby. It doesn’t matter which Tiger offense shows up, they averaged 32.6ppg against a much weaker schedule. Crosby would’ve averaged 50+ppg in that district just like we did in ours. You go turnover city against us we’ll put 27 on you in one quarter like we’ve done several times this year, much less an entire game. Marshall is basically a skimmed down version of Texas City this year.
  24. First time to dealing with Crosby fans then you’re definitely going to think their post lean more towards the arrogant side. If we think we should beat you convincingly then there’s not many of us that are going to say “this should be a good game”. Marshall is probably the 7th best team Crosby has played this year and we’ve blown out almost everybody the last couple of months. Those posts you’re alluding to probably reflect Crosby’s fans confidence that if they can handle 10-1 run-first and defense heavy TC then they don’t feel there should be much trouble with a similar team like Marshall.
  25. Crosby’s defense is better than TH’s, we just play a tougher schedule. For instance, you would look at FB Marshall’s defense and say it was pretty good. Well Barbers Hill just finished 4th in our district and blew them out 42-21 in bi-district. They scored 43 on us which is the only game the entire season our starters have given up over 28 defensively. That’s pretty salty considering who we’ve lined up with.
