Only a moron would play a playoff game on a Saturday when their state championship game is on a thursday at noon, a bigger idiot plays it when his game his championship game is Wednesday at 7. OR that team/Coach has no expectation of making it that far.

I don't totally agree but I understand your point of view. Give me a coordinator that stays gap sound and coaches technique focused on stance and starts, hand placement and fits. The worst coordinators are trying to dial up blitzes and stunts all the time. The best defenses I have ever coached we almost exclusively went on automatics, call a blitz or stunt in thirds and fourths situationally. Other than that line up gap sound to the formation and auto adjustments per alignments of receivers and backfield. Typically when you do that you stay true to the data and don't "coordinate" your way out of a game.

Any head coach that doesn't know the offensive and defensive game plan as good as his coordinators is neglecting his duty. Any head coach that isn't extremely involved in both game plans is neglecting his duty. After 5 or 6 years if you haven't taken the time to become extremely knowledgeable in all three phases of the game you are lazy. Doesn't make any sense, how can you be good enough to coordinate if you are not an expert on the strengths and weaknesses in the opposing schemes and techniques. Therefore if you are an OC you should be able to coach and draw up a defensive game plan in a variety of schemes and visa versa for a dc. I was taught that by one of the best in the business at the 5a level, and yes, it produced two state championships. That being said, I am sure Lindale has a great head coach and if needed he can coordinate a defense or has an assistant that put the time in and is ready to do the job.

If they hire or entertain a "guy" that had a hand in orchestrating, promoting, or instigating the incident with the previous coach, AND it can be proven, somebody is going to get cut a very nice check.

Its the way things will forever be from here on out. Social media will ruin coaching. Every idiot can post anything after every game, play or timeout and find other idiots to corroborate and/or justify their positions or opinion. Its really bad when the board, supt, and other coaches join in or initiate the "captain hindsite" persona. There are some well known ones in everytown. ANYBODY that can't be a genius after the fact is INFACT an idiot. Yet the bleachers, boards, and facebook are full of geniuses. Combine the hindsight experts with the anonymous allegations posse and you get a very toxic profession. All it takes is one false allegation from one child and you have a three month facebook lynching. Facts be damned, at that point reputations, and in some cases careers are ruined.

If you want to review princes record as a head coach I would say that is fair IF you throw out Dawson. Jesus couldn't have coached dawson to wins the past several years. Literally the worst collection of Genetic Material athletically that could be assembled.

So why aren't you surrounded by "quality" defensive minds where you are now genius. Problem number two with our profession: idiot coaches that run other programs down while not able to address the problems with their own program. Problem number 2a: coaches that schedule weak and then run their mouths about their genius but are at home after the first round or second round of the playoffs.

If it was Wilmer Hutchins, La Marque, Yates, or Carter we know how this would play out. If it was a small rural school we know how those rules apply. Its like everything else. You guys want to gripe about drugs in schools but you don't really want to stop the problem. You want to test the kids which will do absolutely nothing. If you want to win the war on drugs you start executing drug dealers. Just like the gripe about immigration. You really don't want to do anything about that or drugs if you don't demand a WALL. Drug testing is just more empty spending on a hollow protocol for a soft society.

I love the idea of drug testing for welfare recipients. But public education is funded with tax dollars and whether they are smoking dope or not we have compulsory laws and must educate them. Unlike most jobs, drug testing public school students is funded with tax dollars. Should we also teach religion since many parents don't adequately attend church with their children? Should we also pay for all their vaccinations? I just think activity away from the school is the parents and justice system/law enforcements domain.

Epic waste of money. Not the schools job to police activity away from school or at home. Any argument made for drug testing could also be made for sex education. Essentially you are saying its the schools job to police or parent activity away from campus.
