  1. Man I was too especially with the OC changes I was worried, but looks like the coaches were already one step ahead! Hood is a special athlete that you don't see everyday while his athletic ability is off the charts his leadership and composure out there is like I have never seen before. I think the first time I have seen him real fired up was after they took a knee to run the clock out against Jefferson and he was running off the field celebrating. Big game tomorrow for the program to get that outright District title!
  2. Agreed Racer, during the early weeks it would kill me to see them not using Hood in the run game but now looking back I think it was genius. Establish the run game with Reddic and then add Hood to the mix in district and we have seen what he can do with his legs. The improvement in Reddic from week 1 to now is incredible and the threat of hood with both his receivers and legs is deadly. These kids took the bye week and decided that is not how they wanted the season to go and completely changed the attitude on both sides of the ball. I'm looking forward to see what this group can do in the playoffs after they finish off district with the first outright district championship since '72.
  3. your stats are a hair off there bub, WO has beat Jefferson every years since 2012 besides last year.
  4. Ive heard they are hopeful for next week depending on getting released from the Doc and of course if they can win this week. Like everyone has been saying its next man up in the Oak, and the soph QB has stepped up and done a hell of job coming into this position! Keep it up White Oak!
  5. I hope crank is giving harmony the scouting report this week. WO will be in great shape!
  6. We take full advantage of the screens and quick strike when the defense gives the opportunity. SH sent backers and had a hard pass rush to try and pressure Hood so that set up the screen. Looking forward to a good clean game this weekend.
  7. I agree with yall. When Hood goes in the game at QB there is a sense that the team is never out of it which is huge. Once the players believe they got a chance its half the battle. We will see what happens the rest of the way, but if you rely soley on the run game it sure makes the game plan easy for the other team. Go Necks!
  8. I like WO in this one depending on who is playing QB.
  9. Looking back on the records of opponants just reminds me of the talk before SH game. Before the spring hill game it was suppose to be an offensive shoot out with a much improved spring hill offense. Couldnt be further from the truth. Personally like the underdog roll. So keep doubting this defense due to opponants records. They will come to play and continue to control their side of the ball. Necks96 I couldnt agree more with the missed opportunites on the offensive side of the ball. Sure you would like to connect on those passes, but even witht the missed opportunity the defense kept the Bullard game real close even with Bullards huge size advantage. I like what im seeing on that side of the ball and if we can start hitting those open recivers down field we should be in good shape at the end of district play.
  10. White Oak wins. They have too much fire power on offense with as strong a defense as I've seen in awhile. Granted this is a great rivalry and anything can happen I see the roughnecks taking it.
  11. Any final word on the QB battle for the necks? Looking forward to a good one tomorrow evening.
  12. 1st scrimmage was rough. Knocked the rust off, got things rolling and WO looked a lot better last scrimmage with play makers on both sides of the ball. Totally different team after that first scrimmage I assume the coaches got after em pretty good. With that I'm going with the roughnecks this Friday!
  13. Looking forward to a great year for the Roughnecks. I think they are right where they need to be in rankings with plenty of room to move up and not much pressure at the top. From what I hear the skill positions won't be a problem and recievers look sharp. The men on both sides in the trenches will have their work cut out for them, but hell that ain't a problem for those boys. The fun starts Monday!
