Please tell me this is not a coach! You are already letting a few smoaky comments get to you? It is one thing to come on here and defend an athlete, but to come and defend yourself, really? Either you believe in what you are doing or don't! Start arguing with naysayers on smoaky and your blood pressure is going to go way up, when you should be spending time working on that run heavy offense. Pretty sure Buddy Ray won't gift wrap your W the way Jefferson did. Where is your focus coach? You or your student athletes?

So let me get this straight, when Kumrow was having the same results with less do to injuries (never did a slot t team only have 3 first downs and not sniff the endzone two games in a row, lol) against two teams that were much better last year, He got the same treatment except probably worse. Then new guy comes in and is an embarrassment and we can't say anything? Anyone that thinks the point differential from the past two years tells the story of improvement is not watching the games or in denial.

I wouldn't consider 2nd being lucky. Not everyone lives in the elite world of HS. What 3rd round heroes? Many schools would love to see the playoffs that many years in a row. Wasn't trying to start an argument about playoffs, but stating that Kumrow deserves more respect that he has been given.

Definetly was not talking about lack of discipline on d line none of which tells me what I was asking about as far as o line play. I never argued that arp wasn't gaining yards and wasn't the better athletic team. Hence what I said earlier in a post. And at you height I don't think I would be talking about anything over anyones head.

JJ you were singing one tune before the season started, get a win against a crappy Pewitt team and you sing a completly different tune. Why wouldn't you want your lineman who #### to work in space use there feet and there hands instead of just firing straight ahead and getting on he guy before he is moving? Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the whole point of the spread to get better one on one match ups and put your athletes in space, yet Pewitt has none and they are going to better off. Something is not adding up.

So you get a win against a below average Pewitt team and now you have the best defense around? If you watched the game, that offensive line never blocked a soul. Multiple occasions they went the wrong direction. Arp defense maybe average at best. The defense you had last year was leaps above this one. Pewitt would have had more than 3 first downs (LOL), if they were still running the slot. No doubt!

Brahmafan just likes to share his infatuation of Coach Gentry! That team was talented and very well coached. Obviously didn't watch very often because they had two very good guards and a Fb that was pretty good at running trap. Think his name was Finley.

I don't think anyone is claiming that Dekalb will be world beaters, but even toward the end of last year they were much improved. Coach May has had more time to implement his expectations and also may some nice hires to his staff.

Fire is good maybe for a quarter, then it comes down to playing the game and executing. From what I have seen and heard it is lacking. Practicing one side of the ball gets you beat, especially when your preseason schedule includes Arp, Waskom, Jefferson, New Boston, and Mineola. Gentry maybe underestimating quality of coaches in East Texas. Finally, to think Kumrow doesn't care is absurd. After the quality years that he is given to that school and community and then to be treated the way he has been and show up everyday and give everything he has to those kids show exactly what kind of man he is. If you actually played for Kumrow you missed what he represents which is character and up most respect for others.

I am going to say Ed and Barnes have little something extra in the tank for the brahmas, even more than normal!
