  1. Malakoff fans gonna have to do a lot of driving.
  2. Brock's defense impresses me more than their offense. They are solid against the run and they bring a ton of pressure on pass plays. Jones will not have much time in the pocket.
  3. I do feel like this match-up is better for Malakoff than Grandview was.
  4. I believe Malakoff is playing the best ball of anyone right now. But the players are keenly aware that the series has been lopsided in GV's favor and that kind of stuff will usually effect the way you react to situations within the game.
  5. I agree with Navy about Jefferson. When I looked at that team I just said Oh ####. You can tell they are the kind of team that can take it to the endzone on any given play. Malakoff had the perfect gameplan and was able to execute it.
  6. Every time Malakoff would fair catch a punt, Brock had a guy that would and run into the kid making the catch, and it was never called.
  7. Malakoff is a team of destiny. They have been a different team in the playoffs than they were during the regular season. If the Tigers get the win it will be Coach Driskel's 100th as head man in Malakoff.
  8. The 2 momentum killers for Malakoff were the fumble right after Brock's TD and the big kick return. That was the perfect time for a pooch kick.
  9. Malakoff was in the semifinals year before last. Hopefully that helps with the "big stage" factor.
  10. This is a tough game to call. Two teams that really are not familiar with one another. Having #11 back give Malakoff a much better chance. I will give the Tigers a narrow edge.
  11. After sitting and listening to this cold, steady rain all night, I am very glad we are playing tomorrow afternoon.
  12. Forecast as of now says 43 degrees with a 40% chance of rain at game time.
  13. Well he's not a child, which is what you sound like.
  14. Rab4life strikes me as someone who is still in school. At least I hope that is the case.
  15. I would like to see Saturday myself. The Tigers appear to be thriving on afternoon games.
  16. Malakoff had a great gameplan. Played keep-away the whole game. It worked because they were able to avoid penalties and turnovers. #10 ran hard all day and both lines played well. Jefferson clearly had more explosive athletes, but Malakoff ground them down with fundamentally sound consistency.
  17. This was one of the very few times in the last decade that I can really say Malakoff won a game because of their defense. The offense played very sloppy. Lots of dropped passes and lots of penalties. S.H. had some key dropped passes also. Entertaining game, but not a thing of beauty. In the 2nd half, the Malakoff QB was almost the entire offense. That will have to be corrected before playoffs roll around. But the Malakoff staff has a good track record coaching up an offense.
  18. If he hasn't played all season, I don't know how much I would count on him.
  19. Has anyone heard anything definitive on the Health of #11 Carr? Nature of injury?Expected timeline to return? Out for the season?. Malakoff doesn't seem like the same team without him.
  20. I don't see how Malakoff can be outside the Top 10 with the convincing win they had over Mexia last week.
  21. I think #11 Carr will be out for at least a couple of weeks.
  22. The only downside was that the big back, #11 for Malakoff left the game with a knee injury. Hopefully nothing too serious or long term.
  23. This one has gotten ugly. Malakoff leads 45-10 and is driving again.
