I have no proof. Only observations. In all honesty, I would like Lufkin to stay 5A due to moving the top number up to about 2100-2300. That would move the bottom number to 1200-1300, making the disparity in 5A a little less. That would also raise the 4A DI/DII cutoff higher, dropping teams with far less to choose from into 4A. There are already many more 5A schools than 4A.

Lufkin is a solid team and the Lee game was very exciting. However, you should, at the very least, be a 5A DI school. Point blank period.

I know the number comes from the school's enrollment and not the number on the football team, but how in the name of all that is holy and pure is Lufkin sitting at 2097 when their football numbers dwarf Robert E Lee's, who has 2500+ in their school? Lufkin is a 6A if I have ever seen one.

I was there. Lindale did NOT play horrible. They got outcoached and outplayed. Just got a couple of receivers behind the JVille DBs.

I'll say this, I was at the Lindale-JVille game. It was the first time I have seen JVille live this year. If they had played like that, assuming they did not by their current record, they would be a much different team at this point. Lindale did not appear to have a letdown. JVille just dominated every facet of the game. The Eagles were just able to get by them on a couple of pass plays and one Tight End hide play.

I'll say this, if Frankston loses to Troup, I would say the Mike Owens small school experiment is a failure and would not be surprised if he packs up and heads home at the Christmas break. Not calling him a quitter, just saying he has no reason to just sit back and take it. They still have a shot at the playoffs if they win out, but losing to Troup...if that happens, no way no how do they beat West Rusk, Arp, or EF. I believe they will end up beating Troup and ND, but lose to the other 3, making them 5-5 and missing the playoffs.

Ennis wont lose again. LP will be #2, JT #3. Still not convinced who #4 is. Could honestly be any one of the others.
