I think we are talking about 2 different guys also. You are referring to a more seasoned coach and I was referring to a younger, less seasoned coach. I'm sure both are great, but I would have someone else as my first choice from the group interviewing. Not sure if my first choice is interviewing as a courtesy or if he is serious. But, he would be the one I offer first. And like I have said all along, I don't get a say so it don't really matter, 😄

Yep. Same. Rumor mills workin overtime. Just hope whoever gets it has a crew of coaches that are gonna stay. New coaching staff every 2 years ain’t what we need

  2. Thanks for making my point. As far as excuses I wasn't making one I said that Amie was missing and being one of the best in 3A ball he would have made a difference, don't know if it was enough to win but he would have made a difference in that score.

dude they shut yalls whole running game down, adding another rb wouldn't have made a difference
  3. Yes, but error free ball is a must, and so far at mid season this is something that we have proven over and over that we CAN NOT do. To beat them CONSISTENT pressure will have to he put on the QB. One or two or even three times over the course of the game will not be enough. Force them to use their running game to set up the passing game. Honestly don't know who in the "D" backfield we have that's healthy enough to cover #10 one on one. Will be fun to watch KJ from WR go up against him. Don't know if anyone else in District is up to the task. Thought EF lost a ton at the skilled positions last year, but apparently not, they own a share if the District crown as we speak, they have one of the most explosive offenses in the District. The only reason I say "one of the" is only because I have no clue what WR brings to the table. One thing that EF brings to each and every game this season is a sense of UNITY, something I have not seen in several years outta those guys. A large part of this has to do with the loss of #5 out there on the field with them. Or have they REALLY lost him? I'm kinda thinking that each and every one of those kids that take the field every Friday takes the field right along side #5 in their own way. Good luck to both. Gonna be fun calling this game out over radio land.

realest post I've seen on a the smoak in a while. Kris will never be replaced or forgotten but his ability to lead his team didn't go anywhere. He may not physically be here, but everybody in the stands feels him with us, and those guys on the field know he's with them. He's a blessing to our team, and his family's support will always be a blessing to EF
  4. Seems like the more waskom struggles this season the pettier and pettier 1wildcat and lsutiger seem to get. The past 3 years it was all big laughs, jokes and sarcasm but now it's starting to sound like haters, front runners and sore losers. Be gracious when u win and still act like a champ when u lose. I

    +1
  5. Why no respect for Waskom, Is it the two blowout loses? Every good team is due for a bad game or two even if the better teams wins

your more faithful to waskom than EF ha I got another wildcat avatar if you're ready to make the switchb
  6. The Waskom Wildcats (11-0) will be facing the Gunter Tigers (8-3) in the Area Round of the playoffs. Waskom is avg 55 ppg and defense is giving up 9 ppg. Gunter's offense is scoring at a clip of 35 ppg and their defense is giving up 15 ppg. What cha thunk?? Will Gunter avenge their loss to the Wildcats in last years playoffs?

    I thunk NOT!!

  7. Another OUTSTANDING defensive effort turned in by the Catz tonight. EF didn't have an answer all night. Their QB will be sore big time in the morning. Pretty much shut their big backs down, anxious to see the stats on total yardage. Their QB probably won't get much sleep, probably be seeing #15 and #21 and #2 in his dreams all night. Dominating from the opening kickoff, on both sides of the ball. As in years past, speed, speed and a little more speed. How about that freshman #20 that scored that last TD. Anyone know his name?
