Great season to Winnsboro and a congrats to the Roughnecks for moving on in the playoffs... Winnsboro had to fight through a lot of adversity with injuries and still had a great season- nothing to be ashamed of at all. White Oak clearly had the better team and can't wait to watch the White Oak vs. Pottsboro game- may be one of the best match-ups in the playoffs this year.

Really believe Gilmer would take care of Center. Not saying Center isn't talented, I just don't think they are Gilmer level talented. Gilmer (right now) is kind of in it's own league as far as the ability re-load every year on talent.

The way it works in a lot of districts is in case of a three way tie it goes to a points system first... So if teams were all tied for 2nd-4th with the same district record it would look like this... For example- If Team A beats Team B by more than 24 then they get +15 Then Team B beats Team C by 4 they get +4 Team C beats Team A by 1 then it is +1 Team A would be the 2nd place with +14 (at least 15 point win over Team A but 1 point loss to Team C= +14) Team C would be the 3rd Place with -3 ( 4 point loss to B but a 1 point win over Team A = -3) Team B would get 4th Place with -11 (at least a 15 point loss to Team A but a 4 point win over Team C = -11) IF it is still Tied after point system then a coin toss will then take place. Hope that helps some.

For this game- Mineola will take the role of Baylor and Quitman will take the role of Kansas. Mineola- However many they want Quitman- not enough

Looking at how this district matches up- Whoever wins against Winnsboro/ Prairiland - they would get third in district and would draw White Oak for their first round game. Whoever loses the game- they would get 4th and draw Mineola for their first round game.. Either way it is a tough first round match-up. This game is huge for both teams- you want to avoid Mineola if at all possible. District Prediction (Final)- 1. Redwater 2. Daingerfield 3. Winnsboro 4. Prairiland

That stadium is cursed- great stadium- but a lot of my high school teams' playoff runs have died in that stadium...Maybe I am just the bad luck now that I think of it.

Kilgore for the win.... If Pace doesn't play then it will be a blow- out ... might be one even if he does play. Brownsboro is no push-over anymore- but they don't have the talent to keep up with Kilgore

Give me Harmony for the win... However, Jefferson always seems to be loaded with talent but always seems to underachieve... It is odd with some of the kids they have that they shouldn't be more competitive every year.

I think Winnsboro has righted the ship and gotten things back on track. They have a great coaching staff and always have a competitive team every year. I think they pull off the win and beat New Boston. However, I do think it will be close. Winnsboro- 28 New Boston- 24

Actually Eagleborn it is different... I try to contribute ideas on current events. You see I like the site a lot- I think it has really good topics, ideas, and people who post on it.. I hate to see it being run down by people who are not using it as a place for serious sports debates or funny sports smack talk... If you like seeing it then good for you. If you take as I am just whining, then great. I expressed my opinion- doesn't have to be yours.

How about we stop going back to posts from 2006 and posting random posts so we can drive our post total up. Not sure why all the sudden this is happening on here. It is really annoying and it dilutes the current sports topics that need to be discussed. It isn't really funny, just kind of lame. Unless it is a reference to Back to the Future somehow... then I would give you a little credit.... nope never mind it is still lame.

Looking at the standings and the matchups for the next two weeks- Winnsboro still could have a chance to make it into the playoffs even if they lose to Redwater. I predict this to be the final standings (after looking at the remaining matchups) : Daingerfield- 5-0 Redwater- 4-1 New Boston- 2-3 Mount Vernon- 2-3 Winnsboro- 2-3 Prairiland- 0-5 I think it will come down to a three way tie for 3rd and 4th between New Boston, Mount Vernon, and Winnsboro. Since MV beat Winnsboro but I am predicting Winnsboro to beat New Boston.. it comes down to a coin flip I think (please correct me if I am wrong). So.... yes it is an important game for Winnsboro and Redwater .. but the New Boston game (thinking Winnsboro will be healthy again) will be huge.

Give me New Boston for the win.... 27- 14

Normally, I would pick the team that runs the option the most efficiently which would normally be Winnsboro. However, with all the injuries that seem to plague Winnsboro this year- it is hard to pick them to win this one- plus the momentum that RW seems to be bringing into the game with them. However, with their backs against the wall and knowing how important this game is for Winnsboro's playoff hopes as well as Redwater wanting to prove something from the tough loss they took last year and build off that big win- it will be a great game to attend with both teams scrapping for every yard on every play. Will predict that this game makes it to overtime and the winner hits a trick play to win it. That is how this series has been like lately between these two teams.

Carthage until they get tired of scoring... I will give big props to Brownsboro for the huge turn around of the program, but they are not quite ready to upset Carthage yet.

Daingerfield... Don't know much about Pattonville-Prairiland but I would imagine they do not have the same level of speed and athletes that the Tigers currently have... After the big win against Winnsboro, the Tigers will continue to roll.

BRF- Not sure what that means either... however, every game situation is different. Situations, injuries, penalties, turnovers, pure dumb luck all can determine a game. Knowing someone's offense or defense or knowing the coach well doesn't guarantee anything. A lot of coaches know Allen's, Katy's, or Gilmer's offense, doesn't mean they can stop it.

Which one of these has greater odds of actually happening- Melissa actually having a chance to win or MM ever getting to move out of his mom's basement and getting a place of his own like a big boy. Why do people have to be hateful to each other on here? This is a place to share opinions respectfully and with maturity without threatening people- even when they don't agree. Both of you can be right and maybe both be wrong at the same time.

So if Winnsboro scores 40 plus on them and shuts them down on Defense does that mean he doesn't really know the O and D inside out? Or does it mean that he hasn't been around that system in quite a long time and maybe it has changed some since he has been there? That is a lot of pressure to put on a coach with that bold of a statement- Knows it inside and out.

Would say this the most "interesting" game of this week. Both teams are solid this year. It being at Pittsburg does give the Pitt an advantage in the game- however LE has been the more successful program the last decade. Give me LE for the win, but the Pitt is going to make it tough on them. LE- 42 PITT- 38

Winnsboro always plays Mt. Vernon tough in Mt. Vernon. Winnsboro is coming off a loss in a surprising fashion, I honestly didn't expect them to get beat by several touchdowns to Daingerfield. Although Winnsboro is a little beaten up with injuries, I will still pick them to make a return to the win column against Mt. Vernon. However, I think it will be a lot closer of a game than I would have thought two weeks ago. Winnsboro- 34 Mt. Vernon- 24
