Me too. I'm not rushing anything, but I can't wait to see Pitt next year and the year after that. I'm hoping for an upset against Argyle

That's what #3 Euless Trinity thought last week facing South Grand Prairie & SGP won 24-21. I've seen crazy things happen on Friday nights.

For several years back all I heard was 1980 (the last time Pitt won State); it sure would be nice to add some dates in the future. Soooo hungry it's an understatement.

I like your post, but mainly b/c I hoping for an upset by Pitt. They will have to play lights out and take advantage of every scoring opportunity. I say hold on the ball, keep it out of Argyle's hand and match them point for point and they have a chance. I would sure feel better if we had the same established football program that Argyle has, but then again we have to start somewhere. Go Pitt!

I agree with you Big Orange somewhat, I believe Argyle has the edge (mainly based from experience), but regardless who wins, both teams could the Dallas Cowgirls. As far as 30 points on Argyle, anything is possible, many thought there would never be a black president and we all know how that turned out, so 30 points against Argyle is always possible, especially with an explosive offense that Pitt can bring to the table.

Very good post, I really do hope Pitt wins, but it will take almost a perfect game on offense & defense. The penalties have to be kept to a minimum & we need to take advantage of every opportunity that Argyle gives us (I.e. Turnovers). We have yet to play a solid complete game, since Atlanta, so maybe we can make this game another one. It will be tough no doubt, but any team is beatable.

I'd still like to know how Gilmer has managed to have just the right number of students to stay in small school every year; maybe somebody's afraid of Navasota? But if they squeeze by with more wins, they will eventually face Celina & that's my prediction for this year's State Champion. Truth be told, they (Gilmer) are not the same team as in years past, they got lucky against LE & Bullard. I'm also picking Navasota n the other division.

Not to jump the gun, but Argyle next week "ouch". I was hoping for at least the third round before we had to face someone in the top 5. But I guess this is where you separate the men from the boys. Now if we can only begin to build a foundation of a great football program for years to come? Go Pitt!
