  1. Me too. I'm not rushing anything, but I can't wait to see Pitt next year and the year after that. I'm hoping for an upset against Argyle
  2. That's what #3 Euless Trinity thought last week facing South Grand Prairie & SGP won 24-21. I've seen crazy things happen on Friday nights.
  3. For several years back all I heard was 1980 (the last time Pitt won State); it sure would be nice to add some dates in the future. Soooo hungry it's an understatement.
  4. I like your post, but mainly b/c I hoping for an upset by Pitt. They will have to play lights out and take advantage of every scoring opportunity. I say hold on the ball, keep it out of Argyle's hand and match them point for point and they have a chance. I would sure feel better if we had the same established football program that Argyle has, but then again we have to start somewhere. Go Pitt!
  5. I agree with you Big Orange somewhat, I believe Argyle has the edge (mainly based from experience), but regardless who wins, both teams could the Dallas Cowgirls. As far as 30 points on Argyle, anything is possible, many thought there would never be a black president and we all know how that turned out, so 30 points against Argyle is always possible, especially with an explosive offense that Pitt can bring to the table.
  6. Very good post, I really do hope Pitt wins, but it will take almost a perfect game on offense & defense. The penalties have to be kept to a minimum & we need to take advantage of every opportunity that Argyle gives us (I.e. Turnovers). We have yet to play a solid complete game, since Atlanta, so maybe we can make this game another one. It will be tough no doubt, but any team is beatable.
  7. Well Pitt has to get through Crandall first, but if things work out and they win; they better prepare like crazy b/c these last couple of games Argyle has been making a serious statement that they want to make it all the way.
  8. I'd still like to know how Gilmer has managed to have just the right number of students to stay in small school every year; maybe somebody's afraid of Navasota? But if they squeeze by with more wins, they will eventually face Celina & that's my prediction for this year's State Champion. Truth be told, they (Gilmer) are not the same team as in years past, they got lucky against LE & Bullard. I'm also picking Navasota n the other division.
  9. Not to jump the gun, but Argyle next week "ouch". I was hoping for at least the third round before we had to face someone in the top 5. But I guess this is where you separate the men from the boys. Now if we can only begin to build a foundation of a great football program for years to come? Go Pitt!
  10. I'm going with Pitt; I would say big, but Coach Baca seems to lay off when we are just dominating all around. Nothing wrong with that.
  11. Maybe Pitt will take notice of such a gr8 home side for Princeton and we can make some renovations of our own. Our stands are in major need of an upgrade. Now that's what I call a pressbox.
  12. Princeton earned 21 points tonight, but the rest you can credit the refs. Absolutely one of the worst officiating games I've ever seen. Princeton player punching our tailback n the back trying to cause a fumble, no call. On a kickoff their player calls for a fair catch & then runs, again no flag. And that was just 2 out of about 20 plays that didn't get called. Had it not been for that and other earned penalties, game would have been 49-21, Pitt.
  13. Pitt is battling two teams tonight (1) Princeton & the (2) refs. Go Pitt. We hold..... Penalty, they punch out player in the back trying to get him to fumble...... Nothing.
  14. I'm thinking this is one of the toughest districts in East Tx. Regardless of records, all but one of these teams in this district has talent. I'm glad to the see the overall competitiveness. I can only hope these last couple weeks has been a good thing for Pitt. You don't want to underestimate Princeton. It will be a battle, but I've got to go with Pitt on this one.
  15. Hard to doubt a team you haven't faced yet. I'm going with Pitt. Then maybe we can talk.
  16. We appreciate the support, if you are genuine about it? If so, then thanks.
