GS Defense is scrappy and aggressive. We overran some opportunities to bring down the QB in the back field that turned into some big plays. Same thing on over pursuit of the RB and leaving some lanes for cutting back. Offense had some turnovers that gave Winona a short field. Defense will get after you. They will get better after watching the film of this game. One of the main differences in the game was Winona's kicker. KO into the endzone every time for a real difference in starting field position and the flop on the roughing call would rival any pro punter. Which at minimum was a 7 and possible 14 point difference as the penalty lead to a score. Very entertaining game. Hard fought. Proud of the Indians! Congrats to the Wildcats.

I can't find the GS/Winona thread! Oh well, should be a good game. Winona has some talent. Not sure they will be at full strength. GS looks to be further along than they were when the two teams played last year. GS can move the ball and the D is scrappy. Turnovers could be the key in this one. I like the Indians in this one.

New Diana has some talent and size. GS had just as much or more speed. As a team were quicker on both sides of the ball. GS did leave some points on field. The Indians did show the ability to both power down the field and to be explosive in the pass game. ND had numerous high snaps that were drive killers. Quite possible the worst officated game I've witnessed. The ND fans and coaches were great and for the majority the players showed determination and character. If they get the snaps under control they can move the ball, which should lead to wins. Good luck to the Eagles on the rest of their season.

Red in Van its the Farmhouse and Dinner Bell. If you are going through Canton, on 20 the Jalapeno Tree or Dairy Palace. Go into Canton by the Court House try Ochoa's, Val's or Buttermilk's. If you are going through Grand Saline, I would eat at the Red Dome or Peralta's.

No shame it that! So did we and so did ya'll!

Not nerve racking for GS. We knew if we beat Edgewood we would either be the 2nd seed or tri Champs. If Tri Champs we felt we would be second or third seed via the tie breaker. Kids focused on the game. They did not know how the LO -AG game came out until afterward. Kids super excited to get a part of the District Championship. Especially, when everyone had them finishing last in the District. Their main goal was to stay out of the 4th seed and let the chips fall. We thought the second seed had the best opportunity to go 3 rounds deep. Of course 1st seed should have the best odds to win first game, but a tougher 2nd round. We've got a tough game and if you win looks like the Regional favorite next.

No shot taken Red, but what happened last week?

GS excited to be back in the playoffs! Boys seem to be taking it the proper perspective. Not too high, not too low key. Gunter has a good team and so does Grand Saline. Hopefully, the rain will move on through tonight and we can enjoy the game in the dry! Let's go Indians!

Indians would have like to been full strength that night as well. Key OL goes down early. Cuts playbook in half. Slows down the pace the O can operate at and pulls plays away from starting DL moved over to finish game. Missed them both the next 3 weeks.(DL lost early in Cooper game for the season) JV players stepped up, but needed some time to get up to speed. No one in the district has dealt with more injuries that GS in the two years previous. We played with what we had and was proud of the effort our undermanned teams gave. That game boiled down to 3 things, our D stopped you in the redzone, our D turned you away on two 2 pt conversions, and your D failed to stop the us on a 4th and goal. Congrats on the win! The TRI Championship! and good luck in the playoffs!
