What makes you think they can't stop the run? The defensive front is also very good. DB's tackled well from what I can tell.

I'm not saying CH doesn't have other weapons...I just think if you take away the top two you have a good chance. How many times have you seen Brisbon and Stewart make several guys miss and go score? They're special! No doubt about that! I just think Kilgore has the speed this year to play with them. If you can tackle Brisbon and Stewart...you can tackle anyone else on that team. I mean no disrespect. Both teams could win a State Championship this year IMO. I just think the Kilgore squad is better than last year overall. If I have to pick...I think they'll win the district.

Kilgore could win the ENTIRE thing in my opinion. Defense is legit. Lindale offense isn't bad but Kilgore made them look silly at times...especially in the pass game. If you can tackle Brisbon and Stewart you can beat CH. Kilgore has the guys to do it.

I was wrong. Kilgore could win the whole thing in my opinion. I did think the Lindale offense played okay against one of the toughest defenses I’ve seen in a long time. So much speed on Kilgore’s defense. If Lindale didn’t shoot them selves in the foot I think it would have been a shootout at halftime. Kilgore pulled away in the 2nd half…kudos to the Bulldogs

Man...Love this rivalry. I was there for a game in the early 2000's and it was intense. Looking forward to following this one tonight.

I think the matchup will be fun. Lindale's defense has improved over the last few weeks. The offense has been good but has faced some poor defenses. I say Lindale finds a way to win a somewhat lower scoring game to pull off the upset. Something like 28-24

I know Lindale has gotten healthier over the last few weeks. How is Kilgore doing with injuries? Anyone have any insight?

Give me Henderson in a close one. Tougher non-district prepares them for the win. Athens got a reality check last week after a weak non-district schedule.

Nobody is comparing anything about Athens to Kilgore…Kilgore will destroy Athens.

Big time matchup between these two next week. Lindale coming off a 40-7 beatdown of Athens. Kilgore coming off a 49-7 beatdown of Jacksonville. Huge game with big time playoff and district championship opportunity implications. Thoughts?

Not sure it's actually a DoD but my opinion is this: The district of doom title is more about the top 3 teams in the district than it is the bottom teams. No offense to those teams but it gets the DoD Title because since this group has been together you've had: Lindale - State Championship Appearance (2020) / Regional Semis (3rd Rd) vs Kilgore (2022) Kilgore - Regional Championship (4th Rd) vs Lindale (2020) / Regional Championship (4th Rd) vs Chapel Hill (2021) / Regional Championship (4th Rd) vs Chapel Hill (2022) Chapel Hill - Regional Semis (3rd Rd) vs Kilgore (2020) / State Semifinals vs LBJ (2021) / State Semifinals vs Boerne (2022) Those three teams would strike fear into any opponent thrown into this district. Hard to argue that success at the 4A Division One level. Those three teams have combined for 28 Playoff Wins over the last 3 Seasons (with more coming this year)

True in many ways. Hope this is the trend for the Eagles. Play better defense and keep the chains moving on offense. Seems like we were a little closer to full strength last Friday but I still noticed a couple of starters not playing. Hope we are continuing to get healthy and get guys back on the field.

I agree Henderson is probably better than what they showed last week. I also tried to tell yall that Lindale was much better than the 1-3 record suggested and much better than people were giving them credit for. I think both of those statements are true.

Would love to see Commerce with the upset here. Going to be tough, but they're athletic and well coached enough to get it done. Winnsboro is always hard nosed and tough. Should be a fun one!
