Do you not think Gilmer is a good football team? You are acting as if our Eagles are awful. I thought they played well on Friday. Several injuries are mounting up but I hope some of those guys will be back in the coming weeks. Defense may have gave up points but they forced several turnovers that kept Lindale in the game. You're acting like the sky is falling. I think we had one really bad game against PT. Van is always close and Gilmer is way better than people give them credit for (they lost to the #1 team in 4A D1 and lost to Kilgore by 3 with their best WR out due to injury) My gut tells me Lindale will be okay. Still think the Eagles have the inside track for the 3rd spot but we will learn a lot this week against Henderson.

Lindale's 3 losses come to Gilmer (2-2 with losses to Chapel Hill and Kilgore) / Van (3-1 with a loss to Chapel Hill) / Pine Tree (2-2 with losses to Van and Kilgore) Henderson's 3 losses come to Hallsville (1-3 with losses to Terrell, Sulphur Springs, and Kilgore) / Marshall (1-3 with losses to Carthage, Longview, and Tyler High) / Whitehouse (3-1 with a loss to North Forney)

I think both of these teams are more talented than the record suggests. Gilmer has faced some stiff competition. Chapel Hill / Kilgore are championship contenders in Division One. Gilmer is probably not at their typical standard, but I believe that we will see them playing long into the post season. Lindale seems to be bitten by the injury bug right now. Several players out and you look on the sideline and there doesn't seem to be a lot of kids. Many kids playing both ways. Add that to the fact that Pine Tree is better than typical years (2-3 Division One Defensive Linemen and possibly more at other positions) and Van is a hard nosed team that always plays Lindale really tough. I think a really good football team is going to be 1-3 around 10:30 PM on Friday night. Neither team should panic...both have a chance to get in the playoffs and make some noise...that's just my opinion. This is a great game for both programs. Great opportunity to build confidence going into district.

Lindale travels to Gilmer this week. Neither team really expected to come into this game at 1-2 I'm sure. Both teams should be hungry to come away with a win. Lindale coming off of a 42-37 loss to Van Gilmer coming off of a 43-40 win vs Paris that was called due to weather with Paris having the ball deep in Gilmer territory. Thoughts?

Think this one will be closer than people expect but you never know with PT. If the same PT shows up from last week then I expect it to be a really good game. If PT isn't ready to roll...then Kilgore will handle them.

Haters love to get a reaction out of people. Who cares what that guy thinks... His team is 0-2 and has won ONE PLAYOFF GAME in the past 8 seasons. That's why he is so concerned with others instead of his own team.
