  1. Lindale ISD contact personnel at Pewitt today and asked that fans coming from the Omaha/Naples area to Lindale for Friday nights game against Mildred use MALLORY STREET instead of W. North Street once they get into the city of Lindale to avoid Major traffic issues on W. North Street. You can access a map to the stadium by clicking the link below. Access Map To Lindale's Eagle Stadium HERE Access Stadium Information HERE
  2. Pewitt Vs Jefferson Varsity Football Game Will Be Played In Jefferson As Scheduled. It has been requested that those traveling from Omaha/Naples to the ball game go through Linden and then up US Highway 59 to Jefferson. This route is clear. Please do not go to Avinger and then to Jefferson.
  3. The Varsity football game between Pewitt and Jefferson scheduled for this Friday, September 8th will still be played. The decision of where the game will be played will be decided on Friday afternoon. Jefferson High School head football coach said that with the trials these kids have been through this past week they “need” to play a football game. The decision to play was completely left up to the discretion of Jefferson ISD and they did what they thought would be best for their kids. The Location of the game will be decided based on smoke coverage and air quality in Jefferson on Friday afternoon. Possible options are moving the game to Brahma Stadium in Omaha or for the two coaches to choose a neutral field. Please log onto the Pewitt High School Web Page at < Pewitt High School Web Site> for up-to-date information concerning the game and its location.

  5. Would like to invite all to attend. You can get more info and register online at WWW.DOUGSIBLEY5K.WEBS.COM Coaches, bring your track teams. Proceeds go for a great cause............The Doug Sibley Memorial Scholarship 5K Fun Run is being held to raise funds for the Doug Sibley Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is presented each year to one Paul Pewitt High School senior male athlete that exhibits the qualities that former Pewitt coach Doug Sibley would have looked for and expected from his athletes. These qualities include hard work, dedication, desire, leadership, and a never quit attitude. Several former scholarship recipients have been able to further their education beyond high school with the help of the Doug Sibley Memorial Scholarship. Coach Doug Sibley and his family moved to Omaha, Texas and began coaching at Paul Pewitt High School in the fall of 1980. He was the Defensive Coordinator for the varsity football team, the assistant varsity basketball coach, and the head high school track and field coach. Though Coach Sibley loved coaching, his true passion was being in the classroom and teaching. He taught American History, Sociology, and Drivers Education. He truly loved seeing his students learn and succeed. Sibley held this position for 22 years at Pewitt High School until he passed away on December 11, 2001 after suffering a massive stroke. Many of Coach Sibley’s former students have often expressed the great impact that he had on their lives. He was always willing to listen to his students and help them in times of trouble. At a memorial service held for him following his passing, more than 1,000 community members, former students, and family members gathered to honor him. They discussed his passion for teaching, his love for his students and the Naples and Omaha communities, his desire for success, and the difference that he made in their lives and the lives of those around them. Coach Sibley was a loving father, teacher, coach, and friend. Running was one of Coach Sibley’s passions. He began every morning with a 4 mile run around Omaha. This event was organized in honor and memory of him and his love for running. Part of the route chosen for the 5K run is the path that Coach Sibley ran every morning for many years. This year’s Doug Sibley Memorial Scholarship 5K Fun Run will be held in Omaha, Texas on March 12, 2011.

How can we use our cowboy clicker that we currently have on new DVD players without having to pay $1,000 for and "Special" DVD player from CoachComm or Webb. Isn't there a company that retrofits vcrs to use the cowboy clicker? Any one made the switch recently? Where did you get your supplies. Sib
