  1. Playing the Rabbits in Atlanta is always a tough W. Atlanta always has good athletes with speed. Bucks will have to contain the running game, limit mistakes and penalties. If Gilmer doesn’t come out focused and fired up, Atlanta will hang around. However; I’m taking Gilmer going away by a few touchdowns.
  2. Lol, this thread. One thing I’ve been impressed with is how aggressive Gilmer’s defense has been the first two games. 16 sacks against two very good OL in Gladewater and Henderson, and without their best defensive lineman who I believe comes back this week?
  3. Looks like the UIL is watching. Schools better get it together or risk no fans attending or worse, no sports period!
  4. I think this will be a really good game. Buckeyes aren’t full strength yet, but I believe they will win by a couple TDs
  5. The young QB will get it figured out. Still had a chance at the end, but that’s where the inexperience got us. Gladewater isn’t Sabine though, bigger and certainly faster. Louvier knows the players and offense well. Gladewater wins.
  6. Our week three game with them has been canceled, so it will be week 4 before they play
  7. Received word 9th and JV games will go on tonight as scheduled. Both @ Spring Hill.
  8. Yes, that’s what I’m saying. The fact that there were about 8 D1 players on defense his last year says a lot. There haven’t been anyone close and the secondary has been atrocious ever since.
  9. When JT left after 2014, that defense was almost non existent under Turner ( no offense). Gilmer has and probably always will be about offense. Best players will be on offense, because they will outscore you and make you try and catch up. That philosophy has worked for the most part since 2002, and I believe they won all of those games. Not sure the last time Gilmer has started 0-1? Football year around.
  10. I agree with this. The games between these two have been close, and it seems Gladewater recent losses to Gilmer have come down to turnovers.
  11. Gilmer is ALWAYS in game shape. Bears are athletic and will probably be close to game shape. Buckeyes win.
  12. I agree with this. I also believe Louvier will pass more than than what Gladewater has done in the past, but Gladewater will always be a run first team in my opinion. Passing will only make the run game more dangerous. The question I have is can the Bears QB pass well enough, especially in the first game? Is he returning or will it be someone new?
  13. I agree. I don’t see 21 points either. Going to be a good game. Gladewater has played Gilmer tough, and personally, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
  14. Depends on the QB. Need to find one. There will be some growing pains for whomever it is, so the run game will have to carry the team early. Only problem is, defenses will load the box and challenge the young QB into quick decisions.
  15. Where as I believe Gilmer IS the better team, how much is the debate. Seems the Buckeyes always are in better conditioning and are more prepared than their opponent in the first game, but Gladewater has a really good team with quite a few returning. Coach Louvier and the Bears will want this one bad, so expect some tricks to come out. I think Gilmer will have a few tricks up their sleeve as well, but can they slow down the Bear run game? Can Gladewater slow down the Buckeye passing attack? Gilmer pulls away in the 4th, but agree, turnovers could be the key to this game. Gilmer’s “AllStar” coaching staff “could” be the difference
  16. Certainly lately, but pretty much all of the games were kinda close?
  17. This thread, lol. Should be a nail biter...Buckeyes by 9.
