  1. Bahaha! Well, not sure if I know that much, and I'm usually wrong. However, I know quite a bit regarding both programs.
  2. My predictions for district: Girls: 1. Gilmer (19-3) 2. Bullard (20-4) 3. Chapel Hill (13-4) 4. Kilgore 5. SH 6. Gladewater The top 3 return a lot. Honestly, Gilmer, Bullard and CH each could take the title, but I think Gilmer has a little more than the other two, and has played a more difficult schedule. Gilmer visits Bullard this Friday in a huge district opener! There is a big drop off after that 3rd team, but I think Kilgore will grab the 4th playoff spot. Boys: 1. Spring Hill 2. Chapel Hill 3. Kilgore 4. Gilmer 5. Bullard 6. Gladewater Not real sure about the boys side. SH has been playing pretty good, and can really shoot from outside. Their lack of an inside game might hinder them in this competitive district. All athletic teams, could be a toss up at this point really imo.
  3. Tatum beat Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill for the championship. Gilmer beat Brenham for 3rd place.
  4. I believe SH got third, but I have no idea who won it. This tournament got almost no sports coverage this weekend. I believe everyone was covering the Romines Tournament across town. That tournament had some HEAVY hitters that's for sure.
  5. IMO I think Carthage, Gladewater and perhaps PG are better than Sweetwater.
  6. Buckeyes offense starting to click. Gilmer 22 Celina 7 6 min 2nd qtr
  7. Herman has already met with the UT assistant coaches. None will be kept, including Traylor.
  8. It's an amazing facility to say the least! I have not watched a game there yet, but I believe PG played there earlier in the season, perhaps a Hawk fan can give you some info...
  9. Looks like they run a little more this year than last. They try to work the clock using that big OL. If they still use that 10-1 defense, Gilmer will pick them apart in the secondary.
  10. Celina always has a big OL. Gilmer has more experience than any team in ETEX playing Celina, so not really any surprises from either team. Gilmer rotates players on the DL quick, so it's hard to wear them down, but Celina plays smart football. To counter their size advantage, Gilmer uses their quickness to their advantage. Offensively, if Gilmer can hold onto the ball, the bobcats will have difficulty stopping the Buckeyes. Gilmer has a speed advantage, and an upgrade at QB over last year. This will be another great game, but I think Celinas time is about up. I say Gilmer by 2 scores
  11. Celina 23 PG 19 Final Good game and season PG
  12. Celina 23 PG 13 About 5 min left in game
