  1. They are. The winner of this game plays the winner of Celina/PG next week
  2. +1 However, PG will have to win the turnover battle in this one. PG's offense will give Celina fits, but the Hawks will HAVE to score. Celina's line may be a bit too much for PG in this one, but you never know. Going with the Bobcats by 14.
  3. I like Thanksgiving HS football, but LOVE Christmas HS football. Going with Celina in another great game!
  4. #22 was involved just like in the Gilmer game. Kid really needs to be tossed out of athletics.
  5. Ha, no doubt you are! However, its going to be tough for Pitt to win in Gilmer. Not impossible, but really tough
  6. PG will have to stack the box to help with Gladewater's run game. No secret there, but they can pass if needed, they just haven't had to very much. I still think this will be a pretty good game for the most part, but I think Gladewater pulls away in the 2nd half. I also think PG will have to get some turnovers if they want to stay in it.
  7. The Gilmer game is IN Gilmer, so fully expect the Buckeyes to win as well.
  8. JT never antagonized the opposing players, coaches or fans, just REFS, but they deserved it!
  9. I agree to a point. Look, #22 is an aggressive player in which ever sport he participates in, and that's great. However, #13 appeared to give him a shove in the back. Didn't look hard, didn't knock him down, but it was a shove nonetheless. No flag on that, but once #22 (who has a temper) retaliated, then #13 retaliated, that's when the flags came out. Both were ejected, end of story. Any other player for SH probably would have walked away. Just happened to be #22. SH was playing lights out, standing toe to toe, and needed #22 in the 2nd half, but he got himself ejected. Gilmer could afford to lose #13 for the game, they have plenty of WR/CBs. #22 was really SHs only healthy RB. He should have just walked away and celebrated the td. At any rate, I [heard] he broke his hand when he swung and hit #13s helmet, so he is probably done for the rest of the year.
  10. #22 got into fights in basketball last year as well, so again, not surprised he was involved. He was actually dismissed from athletics last year at one point, but these new coaches seem to look away sometimes, and he was just "suspended" for awhile before allowing him back in. He's got some issues definitely, but until the administration and coaches grow a pair and do what they actually need to do, I'm afraid it will only get worse.
  11. +1 I expect Gilmer to take care of business this week. I believe Atlanta's defense is good, but not good enough to stop the pass consistently. The key to this game in my opinion is Atlanta's offense. Which one shows up? Will the Atlanta QB be healthy enough after getting hurt last week? Atlanta is always a tough place to play, but I think the Gilmer offense will be too tough for the Rabs this week.
  12. Standings 1. Gilmer (3-0) 2. Gladewater (2-1) 3. Pittsburg (2-1) 4. Atlanta (1-2) 5. PG (1-2) Should be a great finish!
  13. PG. The Hawk's defense is good, and Spring Hill's offense is almost nonexistent.
  14. Exactly. Please Atlanta, by all means take football advise from Spring Hill
  15. Looked like Gilmer was working on some things offensively. That was probably the most they ran all year. Passing game was so-so, seemed out of sync as Gilmer never really threw the long pass. I think Gilmer played down tonight offensively. The Panthers D came to play in the first half for sure, so nice to see the aggressiveness. Bonehead decisions on SH players to throw punches, but not surprised either. SH coaches wined and complained about every single play it seemed. Glad Gilmer had an off night offensively, I was expecting 70!
  16. Hmmm, this thread really took a wrong turn! Let's get back to football shall we? SH will play to the end, but this game will be over pretty quick. Look for Gilmer to play starters until halftime, maybe a few plays in the 3rd, then work on the run game. Look for Gilmer to put up some big numbers in the passing game Friday! Gilmer 70 SH 12 (maybe)
  17. Buckeyes make the short trek to Longview Friday. No poll needed, not even sure if this topic is needed. Oh well, thoughts?
  18. That was my concern before the season started as well. Gilmer moved some guys around after Nac, playing defense ONLY to try and stabilize that linebacker position, and it should help, so we will see what happens. Gilmer will score a lot tonight, how much will depend on possible turnovers, but I don't see the PG defense stopping Gilmer much at all. What they will hope to do is get a few turnovers in PG territory and maybe some easy scores. If Gilmer starts out with some 2-3 play scoring drives, this game might be over pretty quick. My keys for each team: PG: 1. Turnovers (have none, get some) 2. Get pressure on Gilmer QB 3. Get 1st downs, chew some clock 4. Score Gilmer: 1. Limit turnovers 2. Defensive stops 3. Get running game going
