If Birdwell couldn't get the job when he was OC and we were averaging 50+, Sexton doesn't stand a chance now when we're averaging 10 and going 1-9. We need a fresh start. We cannot get this wrong again.

Our program is being ran into the ground, that’s why no one is posting. This is what happens when the school doesn’t hire the guy every kid and community memeber wants. I’ll support the boys, but that’s it. Best of luck to SA the rest of the way.

Do not fear, Red Nation is here. I’m not thrilled with where our football program is at right now. I wouldn’t quite say our previous guy got a promotion. You won’t find too many people upset with his departure. I still have some skin in the game so I’ll stay positive on my Indians. It will be a new year and a new look for us this season and we have a long way to go, but one thing is our kids will always show up ready for Lovelady. Looking forward to kicking the season off Friday. Groveton by 3.

Centerville Groveton Lovelady All by 21+

I'd be happy with 5-2 and a fully healthy team heading into the big 2 district games but I really think we're going to turn some heads this week. There will be a big difference between a young QB that has had a week of work and a young QB that just got thrown to the wolves (literally). The kid had never taken a Varsity snap and had to come in down on the scoreboard and against a top 10 team in the state. Different story this week. Can't wait for Friday.

Their Qurterback and Running Back were both very impressive last year. They also had a tall athletic Wide Reciever and Corner that I believe was a Junior. I am sticking with my Groveton by 12 prediction. Many will be surprised by the score Friday night. Groveton will be 6-1 going into the Centerville game.

From what I have heard it is very similar to Thornton last year. We're looking at around a month. My guess is we will see him being eased back in during the first few district games. I do not know though. Just a guess from what I have heard and read.

If there's a staff that can get a QB and an offense ready it's ours. We'll be just fine.

We lost in a nail biter because we were up by almost 30 when our QB went out. We were only up 1 this time. If we would have only been up 1 last year it more than likely would have turned out like this years game. And yes, SA is much improved this year. I believe they have a chance to make a deep run.

Interesting match up. Groveton is coming off a loss to San Augustine and is without their QB and is traveling to play an undefeated Buffalo team. This is the exact same situation Groveton was in last season coming into this game. They rallied to win 47-24 and then followed it up with back to back to back 55-0 wins. That being said, I'll say Groveton by 12.

Same situation Groveton was in last year going into this game. I bet our coaches do just fine getting that 6th grader ready. I think our district makes the clean sweep this week except for Lovelady.

The QB stayed in after getting hurt. Next play he went to throw and then ball went straight to the ground. Come on, don't dog the kids. SA played a great game and they have a great team. End of story.
