I'm baffled as to why Rockwall stacked the box and still could not force Longview to pass. Boosie was untouched at the line of scrimmage on those long runs. Longview passing game is very limited so you know eight in the box is what your going to see in those district games. Those completed pass plays were just about all on the receiver adjusting to the ball and making a play. This district is going to be very interesting because I see alot of parity. Coaching is going to matter.

Like I said they have up 70+ to Westfield and North Crowley. The struggle with teams with athletes so I am not shocked at all that they could not stop the Lobo run game. Their DC needs to be fired.

Longview needs to buckle down early and limit the turnovers. I don't want to see Rockwall get off to quick start and then start to pile it on. This and running trick plays is something they are famous for.

Saying Rockwall has more team speed than Longview is laughable. Rockwall is the only state ranked top 25 team to give up 70pts twice. They struggle with teams with athletes and good defenses. Remember it took a miracle play for them to beat a 5-5 Horn last year. Longview needs to have a solid run game and their typical salty defense to get this win. I would have concerns about the Jackets running back Jamir Wilson because if he runs wild it will be a long day for the Lobo's. Longview needs to be aware of the trick plays/offside kicks Rockwall will run. The Lobo's can't get into a shoot out with Rockwall. That is exactly what the want and they seldom lose in those.

Rockwall always have issues with teams with athletes. The key to beating them is to not let them jump out to a early lead. They will pile it on if you let them. They have a good running game which gives their offense balance. It Longview can keep them below 36pts they will win. If Rockwall scores 37 or more they will win. Should be a good game.

If you think the growth in Fate/Royse City is growing by leaps and bounds you should see all of the construction between I-20 and 175. I'm talking from Seagoville to Mesquite to Crandall and ending in Forney. They are building thousands of new homes.

For me it's the Quentin Gipson from North Crowley. He scores every time he touches the ball. He already has 13 touchdowns for the season.

Longview and SOC are very similar. Both have outstanding defenses but are limited on the offensive side at this point. SOC is still two classifications below and they are playing in Longview. I think it will be close but Longview will find away to get the win in a low scoring game. I do believe the team with the most passing yards will win. Both teams will need to open up the passing game.

I watched SOC in the Duncanville game and I was not impressed with their QB play. It was clear to me that they did not fully trust him with the offensive. The Golden Bears are locking in offensive weapons but they have a solid defense and elite trench play. The team with the least amount of turnovers and rushing yards should win this game. I'm talking the Lobo's by 3 simply because they are playing in Longview.

The fastest thing you can do is verify the residence of the player transferring. The vast majority of parents are not going to sale their house so that a kid can play at a certain school for 2 or 3 years. Providing addresses of relatives are moving in with coaches/friends is a dead giveaway. Back when I was in high school you had to provide a couple of utility bills to confirm your place of residence. I'm betting this would stop 75% of the illegal transfers. A kid who lives in a apartment or has wealthy parents is going to be harder to track but you have to start somewhere. It's going to be even more of a free for all once NIL hits the state of Texas. It's not a matter of if but rather when.

Make no mistake Longview should be favored in this game. I'm just going with a gut feeling.

I have always followed your post and you have always been honest about the Panthers be it good or bad. If you say the defense is gonna be solid i'm gonna go with it. Longview is replacing alot and I would not be surprised if they get out the gate slow this season. I'm gonna go with a gut feeling and take Lufkin in the upset 24-21.

Wow he is going to have a massive job turning that program around. The lost to West Mesquite 45-6. That district is also adding a new high school which should drop them to 5A D1 which should help. Right now the program is in the dumps.

Refs should have let the teams decide the outcome. PNG may have still scored but the teams should have determined the winner.

Yep lots of growth in the DFW. You can expect to see rapid growth for Forney HS also. Lots of subdivisions are going up off I-20. They have a Mesquite address but will be zoned for Forney HS.
