  1. Similar deal like your hypothetical QB just happened in Lumberton. The girls basketball HC just resigned. Word is that 4 parents were complaining about his coaching, offense, yada yada. My g'daughters team played them and he was very vocal (hurt their feelings?). He'd been there three years. Oh BTW, they went to playoffs all 3 years and he was 86-16. Good luck getting someone better.
  2. When I got to Ft Carson we still had the M14. Guys in Nam just getting M16 & they were jamming. Had a Capt who just got back & was w/Spc Forces. I ask him his choice of rifle. He said the M1 - you cud burry it in the mud. Go back 30 days later and it'd still shoot. Must have been one fine piece.
  3. Sounds like you did a good job. It's to bad his prof has already decided (in his infinite wisdom) exactly what happened and didn't appreciate the time & effort your son put into it. From what I gather of colleges today, they are not the area of free thinking that they once were. I'd be curious to see what that prof thinks happened.
  4. Got cut off - but the command (demand) in their voices is amazing. It's a requirement for a SGT in the Corp. I was in the Army and ours were bad enough.
  5. Lol, I know Exactly the type. My son spent 7 years in the Corp & I was just telling someone this morning how his voice carries without trying to be loud.
  6. Well well well, another Dim throwing poop into the game. http://mobile.wnd.com/2016/03/secret-identity-of-guns-at-rnc-petitioner-revealed/
  7. This is so alien to me. Do they still have pacifiers? My suggestion is to add testosterone to the water. A lot of it. We need to return the draft. All able bodied men & women. No exceptions. If only for 1 year service. After spending 8 weeks with a good DI in boot camp, they wouldn't need counseling. Haven't they had good results with boot camp training for incorrigible teenagers?
  8. I did climb a redwood when I went west with Lewis and Clark, but I'm not old enough to have planted them. Obviously that soft spot in the top of your head hasn't grown over yet hehehehe :)
  9. Why this switch? I'd like to think positive, but I keep smelling something besides our papermill. http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/20160329_At_least_180K_join_GOP_as_Pa__primary_nears.html
  10. I think Wild74 is right. He's won all the conservative states he could, now the real Donald is coming out. And I also hope Cruz gets the nomination.
  11. From what I heard on Fox today, Trump is doing his best to help Cruz. And Hillary is in NYC and attacking Trump, not Bernie. Since New Yorkers hold her in high regard, it could help Cruz somewhat. I sure hope so.
  12. This boggles my mind for sure. And the Govt is concerned about how much salt we eat & cokes we drink? Talk about somebody needs to get their priorities fixed.
  13. You'll have to forgive C1. He forgot to get his Prozac refilled. Why did your son use conspiracy ideas? You should have taught him the perpetrators were beamed down to a grassy knoll near the Watergate, by a UFO (the little grey beasties as I remember lol) :)
  14. Lol, come on C1. The attachment said over 25% of the college students didn't know FDR was president during WWII. I'm sure most schools in Texas teach that. And I know that is taught in Evadale. As for as FDRs wife's love life and the reasons China turned to communism, I'd think that should be taught in college, but I doubt the left would allow it. And my opinion of FDR is probably about as low as yours, you twit :)
  15. What was Trump thinking? Does he think he has this won? Maybe so, but I just saw a new "reliable" poll that shows Cruz leading by 10. I'm optimistic that Cruz still has a chance. Wisconsin is a winner take all state also. I think we still have NY upcoming. I don't know if it's winner take all, but I hope not.
  16. I loved the Xfiles. Had a great last show. Hope they continue it.
  17. I'm not surprised. I'll guarantee you one thing. I know the History teacher in Evadale and when they get out of her class, they'll know who FDR was for sure (unless they're like some of the hardheaded posters on this Forum- to remain nameless) :)
  18. Insanity is running rampant. Based on this article, were I hiring for a position that required a college degree, I'd be putting emphasis on Which college. And the lack of knowledge of these students doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling for recent graduates. Most of that should have been known before graduating HS.
  19. What are they used for? IMO there is way to much emphasis put on these test.
  20. I certainly hope you got this info to Mulder & Sculley. This has all the necessary ingredients of a legitimate UFO encounter. Just remember that literally, UFO is an unidentified flying object and not a flying saucer, which is what I saw on my last visit to Colmesneil to watch a basketball game. :)
  21. And just based on reputation, I bet Chicago would top Detroit. Illinois is the center of political crime.
