No. What Vidor dId against Lindale (fumbles) was mild. I wasn’t at the game but we gifted them frequently.

Eagles size and flexibility on offense should give them a big advantage. Keep going - one game at a time - old but true adage. This Pirate is backing you!

States can have votes counted. Why not do it? Name a valid reason to not have them counted. No? Me neither. Name a Machiavellian reason for not having them counted. It’ll be over when they’ve (Democrats) falsified enough votes to win. They’ve found a weakness in the system. Like termites or roaches who’ve found a way into the house. They’ll come until it’s destroyed. There’s no morals in their Party. Why else would Arizona still be counting votes? Texas is nearly 2.5 times bigger in land mass. Texas has 29 million, while Arizona has 7 million. So why do Texans know the vote count the next morning, and Arizona is still counting? Only one good reason - So we can cheat Grasshopper! His Mon been telling me about him since he was a tot (she works for my Dr.). Little dude but he’s all heart. As a Fr he started on the varsity baseball team. Little guy got him a HR. Just doesn’t look big enough for zingers, lol. He’ll be formidable as a Junior next year.

That fumble at the two broke our backs. I repeatedly said we couldn’t stop y’all. That big offensive line was wwaaayyyy to much for our smaller DL. Essentially, Lindale, with that line and Thurman, did what Vidor likes to do - drive down controlling the game and clock. Vidor’s chances were to outscore y’all. The second fumble, after driving to the 15, was the nail in the coffin. Can’t complain, stuff happens. The Eagles jumped on us like me jumping on a rack of bbq ribs. I wish nothing but the best for Lindale going forward. Would love to see a Lindale vs Ltown matchup. Not only a great game but it’d mean both were successful just getting to that point. Go Eagles!

Difference is, CHill could afford mistakes and still win. Livingston would’ve had to play to perfection to keep it close.

The thing that stands out in my memory, when they ran a sweep and a defender was outside in position, he went down. Best one on one blocking technique for a team I’ve ever seen. To a man, they executed ever aspect of the game to perfection. They had a TB who made All-State. I saw him play several games. Went to the Dome to support the District. Nothing personal, he was good, but the kid was nothing special. Better backs all over the State (imo), but he got the honor of running behind 10 guys who did their jobs. His stats were great because he had big holes, and defenders on the ground. Etheridge got the majority of credit but I always thought he had accumulated the best Staff in the State.

Finally got a Ltown response. Same old stuff - Coach put in JV & Soph in the second half. Sounds fishy to me.

Dang, ya got me there. I keep seeing the Ltown fans talking about how porous their D was. Lol, look pretty solid on the schedule. I’ve no idea what happened when they played y’all. Looks like they brought a knife to a gun fight, lol. As usual, Vidor couldn’t stop their passing. Is Tatum predominantly run or pass? Or are they just 50-50.

Great study of the offense. Will you be at the Vidor vs Lindale game? Etheridge built a dynasty at PNG. Down here it was referred to the University of PNG. Even as one of the smaller 4A (top dog in those days as I remember) they were dominating. I know at one time, their game against Plano set the TX HS attendance record. May still be the record but I’m not sure. Looked it up, it’s now #3, 49,953 in 1977.

Been a hoot. Here’s my prediction. If Vidor can move the ball it’ll be a one score game. If they can’t, it’ll be an embarrassing blowout. Can’t see us stopping Lindale. Just ain’t happening, ergo, we’ll have to outscore them. So here’s the possibilities - Very close game - Lindale wins in a blowout. Vidor won’t stop Lindale so there won’t be a Vidor win in a blowout. Dang, won’t be long now. Safe travels to all Pirate & Eagle fans going. Vidor should have a nice crowd, and I suspect Lindale fans will show up.

Amazing! But Lumberton, like most D9 teams, concentrates on offense. Their D is their weak point - again like most teams in D9. Most D10 teams put a little more effort on D (except Vidor who just doesn’t have the folks to stop anyone, lol). Still think, hope, the Lindale vs Vidor game will be a good one. Btw, good luck with Mt. Vernon tonight.

Similar to CHill vs Livingston. We (us in D9&10) know what’s going on. Folks outside will look & think, wow.

Lol, is a head scratcher for sure. No doubt Tatum is a good team. Got to see my G’son play in their stadium (nice facility) in 2017. I think it was Grapeland vs Evadale. We lost 28-27 so not great memories.
