ETF, Hughes Springs is the only place that I know of that credits wins to the coaches and blames losses on the kids.

Yep the steel mill hurt the overall numbers around here a lot too. We were over 700 in the early 80's and lost 200 kids over about a five year period. Lost a lot more since. It definitely hurts

Hoping for a better start. Feeling fairly confident that we will improve and make some noise throughout the season. Attitudes are getting better and coaching has been a plus so far

And the 2A part. Man, I believe Clarksville and their 98 kid enrollment was a staple in yalls schedule for years.

Whatever on the never backed down! Schedule Atlanta then, they are small 4A and yall are big 3A. They are right down the road! Better yet schedule us week 4 after we both get the kinks ironed out! Funny how we are on the schedule after a couple down years and as we swing back up yall won't play us again!

While your big red machine is so awesome don't forget you got swept by Troup in the second round and by Prairiland in the first round the last couple years. Oh, and btw, we've sucked in baseball lately. But, we played in the state tourn in 2003 in 3A btw, which is now 4A. Beat people like Carthage in the playoffs as well. (Just in case you thought we were never any good) So that makes D'field 1 state appearance and HS 2. Not a wide gap there folks. And in the early 2000's yall wouldn't even play us in baseball due to the beat downs we were giving in the late 90's and early 00's. So, ease down off that Pony.
