  1. They're just passing through 4A on their way to 5A. They have speed and size... QB is a freshman. They're good, but not dominate.
  2. Kilgore is the home team.... so we'll be sitting on Carthage's home side. That's gonna be super weird.
  3. He was being covered by a 6'3" corner who holds offers from Baylor and Oklahoma State.
  4. So I'm about halfway through watching the Needville/Iowa Colony game. Preliminary takeaways are.... Needville is a lot like Lindale on offense, but they have a really good RB (Burton?). Their defense, however, is not good. Iowa Colony has some dudes. Big guys and a lot of speed. Think LBJ or LaVega.
  5. According to their algorithm..... we are 5.5 pts ahead of #2 Stephenville. That's a very large gap between #1 and #2. About the same size gap between #2 and #7.
  6. He's a really good deep ball guy, but #2 is the best receiver we have and has been for about 3 years. We also have another RB that hasn't played in about a month due to a nagging injury. He's the fastest guy on our team and an absolute game changer when he has the ball in his hands.
  7. Haven't heard anything. The play he got hurt on was when he was fullback on goal line... got cut and up-ended.
  8. There were some strange scores last night. Van/Bullard, Harmony/Daingerfield, Pine Tree/T-High and Athens/Palestine just to name a few.
  9. I'm liking where Kilgore landed in the regional bracket. Path back to the regional championship game will probably go Livingston -> Bay City -> Lumberton/Needville Bottom half of the bracket has Lindale, Chapel Hill and Iowa Colony. Lindale definitely has the most rigorous path as they will have to go Vidor -> Iowa Colony -> Chapel Hill Chapel Hill got the best draw of our district as they won't face an opponent with a heartbeat until round 3
  10. Lindale beats Vidor, again. It's an annual event.
  11. They were fairly balanced early in the season with the sophomore QB. He got hurt against Henderson and the backup is a 6'3" - 210 senior who is a better runner than passer..... but he can still sling it a bit.
  12. Athens is a sneaky good football team. They took Kilgore to the wire and were beating Chapel Hill early in the 2nd half. Not flashy, but very solid and well coached.
