Been hearing for a a couple of weeks that Dfields offense was terrible.

Yeah our offense may be simple but I bet we still beat the Tigers. From what I hear they do more dancing in practice than tackling.

All the kids that aren't playing this year are good kids. Not just the starters that chose not to play but I believe there was maybe a couple of kids that didn't start and some JV kids that chose not to come back. They chose not to play for their reasons. If they have to talked into playing they don't really want to be there. You play with who shows up and try and make those kids better.

Better to quit before the season starts than during the season. Everyone can be replaced especially if your heart isn't in it which appears to be part of the problem the last two years. I think some will be surprised how little those players that decided not to play will be missed. The young guys stepping in are hungry and not worried about getting hurt. I hear good things about the Mustangs. They may have a young QB but hear good things about the young man. Also hear the Tigers are struggling at a few positions.

So there is no confusion here those of you that have asked my brother what my screen name I have on Smoakey now you know. So yes I love watching the freshmen QB play. I have seen the small chatter on here about him. He will play when the coaches think he is ready. He will work hard until that time comes and no I don't think it will be next year. We have a lot of talent on the field right now and we need to lift those kids up for the few weeks and not worry about next year. I will say I do agree with one thing about some of the previous posts about competition. There should be completion at every position in every sport every year not just football.
