  1. I don't think you're allowed to say that. Weren't you "offline" last year around this time due to ????
  2. Yep, deja vu all over again. Seem to recall from last year a lot of sayings like "Refugio hasn't played a team like SA," If you think you're gonna line up and run over us," "show Herring who his daddy is," SA offense is virtually unstoppable" and other like saying last year. Yep, here we go again. Since they moved the SA/Tenaha game to tonight, you should drive over to the Alamodome tomorrow night and do some scouting.
  3. They better enjoy Tenaha. What I'm seeing in this pic isn't going to stop Mason or Refugio offenses, would be lucky to get into either teams' backfield.
  4. Why so sensitive Wolfman? I have no hate for SA. Win one more and SA will get their shot at redemption. I'm hoping the best for them and would like to see what they've got this year.
  5. Quite often, those that can't get there have these feelings. Just imagine what they would have done to SA. Mart would have scored at will. They are absolute beasts and will be doing the same to whoever they play this year. The championship is their's.
  6. Hey, that's how it should be. I would like to see SA do good too and I wouldn't expect you to pull for anyone else. I just have a sense of reality knowing what the other region brings to the table. It doesn't mean I'm pulling for them. Everyone loses players from previous year's squad. Yep, worry about Mason/Refugio next week, but might be a good idea to view it through the lens of what happened last year when considering the "smack talk."
  7. I have no hate for Region 3. I'm born and raised east Texas and want to see them do well. Glad to see you're keeping track of me. Having read your analysis of "talent" leading up to last year's semi-final game, most would do well to scroll right past you too. But, then they would be missing out on a good laugh? Try to get out more so you have a better awareness of what the talent levels are throughout the state and you wouldn't overrate your home team so much.
  8. Well, I was pulling for the other three teams, thinking SA had their chance to represent the region last year and got embarrassed in the semi-final by a far superior team. Now regardless who takes this one, Tenaha or SA, they will need to play mistake free football in the semi-final against either Refugio or Mason. I know that's getting a bit ahead because these guys right now are just focused on this week and getting the win. Good luck to both, may both stay injury free, and may the best team win.
  9. Congrats to both teams on great season. Looking to see SA or Tenaha represent the region strongly.
  10. Good to hear and I hope so. I've been away from the area for a number of years, so don't get to see these teams anymore until playoffs, but would love to see one of these three in the regional final.
  11. Nobody said anything about Refugio being next week. I don't even know if it'll be Refugio, Mason, or Shiner. Just stating that their region has been putting it on east Texas far too long so I'm hoping to see a different representative (Garrison) take a shot at whoever it is. San Augustine posters on here apparently aren't a very good judge of their talent level verses what's out there in the rest of Texas because they thought they were outstanding last year and found out otherwise. I know it's hard to judge if you don't get out of the area. Despite a lot of people not liking the Refugio coach, he has done a good job of getting his team to play exceptional talent in pre-district, so they know what they have (i.e. Mart-enough said, 3A Goliad, Lago Vista several years ago, 4A Geronimo-Navarro, etc.) Having said that, I have had the chance to see Mason and Refugio this year and they aren't as strong as they have been, but still very good and will be up to the challenge, so I'm hoping Garrison makes it and brings it to the Regional Championship game. You must still be obsessed with last year's whooping to get so emotional in your reply. Kind of weird dude.
  12. Region-smeegion, doesn't matter, we all know what we're talking about... the other region has been smacking around the east Texas region too long. Right?
  13. Yeah, I was there at the SA game last year (2017), but you're right, it was at a quite nice HS stadium that was as good as a lot of colleges. I was thinking about the previous year (2016) at NRG when Refugio embarrassed the Houptee out of Centerville. The point still stands that San Augustine fans were stumbling all over themselves talking of how great they were and then Region III punched them in the mouth. Time for Garrison to take their shot and get it done for east Texas.
  14. Where would a Carthage vs Liberty Hill game be played?
  15. No allegiance to either team, but as a HS football fan and East Texas native, I'm hoping Garrison takes this one. SA so overhyped themselves last year going into the semi-final against Refugio you would have that they walked on water. Then what happened? I took the time to go to the game at NRG and saw nothing but total domination of a team that would have been, at best, probably the fifth place team in Region III. I'm hoping to see Garrison bring something new this year and give Region III some real competition as it's been missing for about 10 years now and I'm tired of East Texas teams getting waxed in the semis. I've seen Mason and Refugio games the last two weeks and while they won easily, they do not look as strong as previous years, so perhaps this is the year?
  16. Mart easy, doubt it'll be that close. Mart by 4 TDs.
  17. Enjoy this week and the next two because once Region 3 meets Region 4, it's buzz saw time, same as it has been for a while... Mason, Shiner, Refugio going to be very tough to overcome.
  18. Love the matchup and plan to be there, but 250+ miles is a long bus ride...going to be tough for Refugio to stay with Mart.
  19. Yes, that's for sure. Next week will tell what they have, playing Mart in Mart.
  20. Round one or two in playoffs.
