I tried last year but it didn't last but a week.( Arp got the big head just like Newton did when they played Arp.) Arp got beat by a one man show. JMO

If Newton doesn't have the big head,this game could turn into a good ole fashion butt whoppin. them tigers will be pulling splinters out of their drawers for a month or so.JMO

by beating Garrison,wouldn't that have both teams with a 3-2 record and C C going as the 2 seed since it beat Garrison. maybe not but it should go head to head who won with 2 having identical records. JMO

here's the way i see our district is, if C C beats Garrison they would go as #2 and Garrison #3. Whoever wins between Crockett and Hemphill would be #4. If Garrison wins,it will be #2 and if Crockett wins by more than 1 they are in. If Crockett wins by more points than Hemphill beat C C. , Corrigan Camden would go as #4 .If less points, then Hemphill would go. Clear as mud. JMO

I just saw where Newton game with Silsbee has been canceled and they might have lost week 4 with Bridge City and week 5 with East Chambers. The towns south of us are devastated..Please keep praying for them!

Curtis Barbay at Newton, had over 300 wins and we played Henderson,West-Orange Starks,Port Neches-Groves,Nederland, Port Arthur Lincoln,Carthage,Silsbee and a few others that were pretty good bigger schools.

If there enrollment is steadily dropping, I can see them have some average years but they are still Daingerfield and until proven wrong, they should be respected. When you play up in schedule, your record is generally deceiving. The Blue Tigers will roar again. JMO

I hope Garrison drops down in classification next re-alignment. If you don't have the numbers,its hard to compete especially in the district with Crockett and Newton. Newton should be loaded for the next three years unless injuries hit or people move. Good luck Bulldogs. JMO

Great post from JJ and great prayer C-C 09. This game will be great and may they all play to there potential. My prediction is Newton over Arp 35-14.

I didn't mean any disrespect to Elysian Fields,they played us better than anyone so far but the truth of what I said is the last four weeks things have been easy for my Eagles and you woke them and us spectators up. The Eagles know if you don't leave it on the field at this point in the season you are through. I just wanted JJ to know crow eating goes both ways.

and if Arp loses , you gonna eat crow. I think Elysian Fields woke up a sleeping giant ( E. F. was good but Newton boys got big headed also ) and we will see friday night how them Arp Tigers are now. Wait and see,showdown looming.JMO
